    How Does Your Garden Grow??????

Make some pies. Maybe some bars, cookies, jelly, jam, or cobbler. This is actually a small test run which is turning out better than expected. Rhubarb typically only grows in cold climates and is grown from crowns or plant divisions as perennials. I’m in Northern California and it’s too hot...

    How Does Your Garden Grow??????

Just a follow up. Umm ya. These buggers need to go outside. There are 12 in there. Waiting for some cooler weather. I’m glad I have another grow area. Only non phd water and Fox farm soil. Light is on 18 hrs a day.

Doing LST with plastic grow bags?

Just following up with the five plants under the new table. Harvested 14.6 ozs. A tad lighter than expected but that’s ok. I’ll have another harvest just about the same every 10 weeks. WAY easier to harvest with the table and clearing everything below the fence.

    How Does Your Garden Grow??????

Pie plant. Alaska?? My plan is to cut everything to dirt level next April or so and do a one time harvest. I’m assuming the harvests won’t be huge that’s why I’m doing 12. Just enough to say, “that rhubarb pie is from my garden” a few times. Not a permanent plant in the ground.

    How Does Your Garden Grow??????

Found this face down in the dirt (neglected). I ate a few. Not bad at all. They are pretty large for sunflower seeds. Needs a little roasting with a tad of sea salt.

    How Does Your Garden Grow??????

Rhubarb is doing good. There are 12 plants in 3 gallon bags in that 2’x4’ tent. Rhubarb is suppose to be a perennial, but due to me being in California in zone 9a (too hot), I am growing this as an annual from seed this winter outside and will harvest around April next year. If this works I’ll...

    How Does Your Garden Grow??????

Started Victoria rhubarb x12 from seed indoors. I’ll be growing these outside as annuals in zone 9a. Will be transplanting into 3 gallon bags soon and continue to let them grow inside the tent. When it cools they will go outside in a 4’x8’ “raised bed” (which is upside down) with a hinged hoop top.

Saved a few different varieties of pumpkin seeds from store bought pumpkins last year. Minis and warties and something else.

Doing LST with plastic grow bags?

It does cool down at night. Right now it’s only getting down to 75-80 though. Friggin heat spell hitting N Ca is kicking my butt. Right now I need to water ever 1.5 days or so. It’s ok. They are doing fine as long as they don’t dry out too long in this heat. I’ve been thinking about these more...

Doing LST with plastic grow bags?

I’ve messed with a small screen years ago. This is roughly 4’x4’ and is working great. I can somewhat get around the table. Watering is a little tough on the back. These are at 6 weeks. Currently having to water every day. With the trailer door wide open all day and lights on.

    Anyone growing in an RV?

Little update. I built this 4x4 table. I have issues with buds getting too heavy and they bend the branches over ALL THE TIME. This will fix it. I’m slowly tearing out the bed side of the rv. I’ll probably put my LEDs over there and make a another table to fit it. 2x4 or something close. I...

Doing LST with plastic grow bags?

5 days later. Stretch should be done. Cleaned up below the screen. No more worrying about tying up or tying down branches and/or broken branches. I’m very happy with this so far.

3.5 days later. It’s working fine. Soon it will be time to clean up below the screen.
