when i said ''does it make a difference which light i use'' i meant between the 430watt HPS light and the 1000watt HPS light .... NOT between mh and hps.

I have 6 plants that were growing at about 8 inches with a 400watt mh light and just thisd morning it blew..i dont have another mh light but the ballast i have is a conversion and i have a 430watt HPS light and a 1000watt HPS light...i have the ballast for both of them.. i was just...

OK what you have to do is cut that main root off.... until all the discolored parts are gone....ii mean other wise your plant get stunted and enventually die. Peace, Grass.

someone think they can help me out..... everytime i take a cutting and plant it .. it always slowely dies.... what i do is i take a lower branch, dip it into warm water then in to schults tkae root, then into the soil and i cut 1/5 of the top of a milk gallon and put saran wrap over the top...

my plants are almost two months old... they were started under 24/0 flouro tube lights for about 2 weeks then put under the 430watt metal halide bulb..... the soil somposes of 50% organic potting soil mix, 30% peatmoss, 5% mg soil mix,5%all purpose potting soil , 5% blood meal, and 5% lime...

HEY..... i really need to fix this lamp...!!!.....i accidentely cut the cord in hlaf and what i did was i just striped it to get more wire and i connect them back together.....i dont know what im doing wrong but when i plugged it in it almost started a fire.. how can i make this lamp work...

what i did in your situation was i took a milk jug and cut off about 1 FIFTH off it off from top down and put saran wrap over it with it taped down and it worked perfectly

i got 4 plants that are growing good that i have topped once already and i was just wondering if it would be a good idea to move them outside for 7 more months of growth and to be topped 2 more times?

i didnt mean both of them in the room at the same time....... I meant using the mh for veg and hps for flower.. Is it a good idea though touse the mh in the small room and then when im done with that use the hps?

Title says it all... just want to know if i can grow decent sized plants and get a good yeild from doing this... or if you can tell me how many cfl's would i need to put in the box for plants, like what watt and how many lights would be great..thankyou

I am going to be growing in a 3ft x 3ft box that i painted ultra white. I have One 40watt flourescent tube light, Two 12 watt CFL'S and One 26 watt CFL light inside.. It was hard to get a 47 inch flourescent tube light in when the box, corner to corner was 47 and a hlaf inches... but i fit it in...
