the cfl vs hid debate has been beat to death many times. if yor only planning on doing 1 grow, in which you just toss everything when your done cfls might be cheaper. but if your like most of us and grow as a past time get a real light; its by faaar worth the investment.
then youll have to steal one. its not that hard really, most shops and places of busniess will have a hps right out front to light up the store sign at night. telephone booths have 100w mh lights in them. just go late at night and do it.
lol yes but was is a 300w light or a 300w equivalent? big difference. my point is simple, 400w of cfl light and 400w of hps light cost the same, it is 400w either way. but the 400w hps light is pushing alot more light then that of 400w cfl
yes if you want a bunch of small plants you can flower them from the get go. and yea you can grow with a mh light but hps is better imo. i use a hps for veg and flwoer
then way a see it, hps and mh lights are better buys for your money and more powerful. the only advantage to using cfls is they can be placed literally right on the plant. it will be more expensive to replace the cfls. and they wont save much energy either, because youl likely end up running the...
ive used mg orgainic with much success before. it could be perhaps it was the transplant from the regular mg soil to the organic. have you been feeding it extra? it does look like nute burn. anyway its dosent look that bad, just give her time. maybe another flush if it gets worse, besides that...
i havent read this whole thread but its like this; you have a nice plant but its way to tall for a 150w hps. keep it shorter next time and leave your light closer to the plant. but you should have some good crop, later.
a 400w hps is a bright light indeed, but how far is it from the plant? with enough fan id sit that sob 8+ inches from the top of your plant, depending on how big it is (theplant). but if the rest is how you say it is then it sounds like youve done a good job, and just give it time.
