doc, debate over to trim fan leaves or not.......what is your advice? i can jinda tell that the buds under them are smaller....maybe just growing slower.....

was jest at pet store. saw UV A and UVB lights......didnt notice the 10%....forgot you mentioned that.....

i have a 3.5 foot beauty. i aslo recently added a new little one, however its way behind.... a force flower kinda deal for the samaller one. the little one has not really shown any signs of sex, but im way nervous to lose the awesome girl to a stupid little possible male....is it even worth the small yeild? im in a jma here, not sure what to do, really for the first time in this im completely unsure...please offer some advice if you dont mind to help me through this......!!!!

im new on this site and growing. got a great thing going on....just 1 question, that has gotten no response.....i have the hortilux blue MH 400w goin on for veg, and im loooking for awesome results....will any light, sylvania etc HPS do the same as the hort enhanced HPS????

hey man i saw you answer about the flowering stage and i found it very interesting
At the moment i am growing 3 female lowryders#2 ( 3 out of 10 for god sake)...and they have shown
pistils about 1 and half month ago....but still they don't have buds...they still growing. Their high is about 120cm
and they look really huge like normal plants. Every day new leaves coming out and some pistils but just on the side
...no buds at all are producing....2 weeks ago i reduced the time period from 18-6 to 12-12 because i think i should behave them
like normal plants and not as auto flowering plants.
i have those plants under two 600watts HPS 50cm above them...he room emperature is around 20 to 25 degrees...the humidity is
40%when the light is open and 70% when the light is closed...and the fertilizers i use are bio bloom 10ml/litre, bio grow 4ml/litre and top max 2ml per litre

If you have any idea about the problem i have i would really apriechieate if you could give me some help because i am really desparate.

Well beeegbuwds, I'n not a hydro grower, but here's what I think:

I can tell you that you definitely should have a flowering cycle. He must've understood something wrong. You're supposed to veg for as long as you want (some 3-5 weeks depending on strain and conditions) and then have a 12/12 flowering cycle for 8 weeks. It's impossible to harvest a plant after only 8 weeks of growth... even if it were a super fast flowering autoflowering strain...

You should not close the water supply to your plant during the night. But what you should do is to lower the amount of water that will be pumped. If you can't do that, space the waterings out a bit. Because you're growing hydro, you always need to have a water source pumping. Still, during the night, your plant is metabolically slower, so it will not be able to use everything you give her.

aye bro...I have been reading your comments and it sounds lyk u know what ur talkin about....I am a beg. grower...I just got my first enclosed hyrdo drip system.
Well I broke down and got a Canada grow box, fits 10 plants, has a 400 watt bulb.....anyway I just made sure all ppms, ph and temp of water was correct as well as the nutrients.....but I have my clones in 2 in rockwool cubes surrounded by clay balls with a drip stick to the side of the rockwool....the guy I bought it from said I should keep it in veg.cycle for 18/6 for 8 weeks and then harvest....not to put it flower mode 12/12 at all. is that correct?....also in veg cycle with the lights going for 18 hours on the 6 hours off...do I want the drip sticks/water pump to be on continous...even with the 6 hours of lights off or do I want the water pump shut off for the same time the lighting is off?...just affraid the rockwool will dry up in that 6 hours of darkness. any help would be much appreciated. thanx
