Speaking of effects on the primary plant of interest... Do you think that having all of those other plants growing has a significant effect on the CO2 in the grow room? I guess if you're moving enough air (like you are), there shouldn't be a problem.

If you get a chance, buy some and try it. It is typically pretty sweet. You can also make a mulled cider style hot mead. Add some mulling spices to the mead and heat it up. On another note, anybody here ever tried their hand at distilling?

You need to feed them and they like a lot of space and will multiply, so I don't think it would be good to keep them in the soil with your plants. Although if you had a large soil grow, it might work.

How do you deal with heat in the summer? I'm in So Cal as well and I have a hell of a time keeping the temp in the cab (garage as well) below 95.
