Hmm -- just learning like everyone else but isn't 74 to 78 ideal temps in the room- had no idea that it could stay that hot at all times. Any more input would be more appreciated.

I'm no scientist but isn't 88 degrees too hot for any part of the room?? as far as haw far from plants 12-15"- depends upon how hot the plant gets- place your hand on top of plants if it's comfy for you it's comfy for them.

I would have to say you HAVE to get rid of their food source which are the grubs -- other than that it will be hard as heck!! This would be time consuming, depending upon how desperate you are, hammer spikes into the ground every few inches about a foot down--- or place some sheet piling around...
