Hi Toad,
Happy to see that your plants are doing great! You seem to be managing the stretch very well so far.
Don't hesitate to pinch the tops many times throughout the length of the flowering stretch (Without topping off).
How's the stem smell on the Cambodians?
Take care,
Al
Hello @toad37 ,
I am very glad you like the artwork! I found the colors a bit too flashy/aggressive so we kept the artwork but made the colors more natural.
Looking forward to seeing some pics of the Rasol plants.:D These will stretch a lot but If you keep them in these 1/2 gal pots till...
Hello 11/13 growers!
I think that 11/13 is perfect for most Sativas because they usually come from places relatively close to the equator.
Ideally grower can diminish the day length even further towards the end of the flowering cycle from 11/13 to 10/14.
However, I believe that most Indicas...
By the way,
I suggest starting the plants in 1 liter pots (0.3 Gal). That way you can minimize the stretch and you won't be wasting too much space on male plants.
I won't name names but this is happening in Europe for sure. I don't know about the US.
Us breeders like Mister Soul, DJ Short or Ethos put in some great work.
@blazeaglory420 I agree with you 100%!
Legalization will cause many "Hype" "breeders" (That in fact just pollen chuck) to go out of business while the most passionate, hard working breeders will emerge. That is what I believe.:bigjoint:
Did you know that at least 50% of "Breeders" don't even...
I this videos, I explain some of the basic techniques involved when creating a new cannabis strains.
It always takes much more than just a one-off cross to create a real quality strain.
Shout out to breeders like DJ Short and Mister Soul for putting in the work :clap:
Who said you couldn't find great phenos when growing polyhibrids?
However, do you think slapping 2 "fire" strains together is worth as much as a strain that breeds true for certain specific traits and has been worked for many years? Personally, I don't. And if it were worth as much, why bother...
When growing pure Sativas, male plants often reveal their sex after the females.. It is the opposite of Indicas and Hybrids. So hopefully you'll get some nice males! (:
@JohnDee Hello Mister Dee. That plant is looking very bushy and short. It is also healthy and doesn't seem to be lacking vigor at all. That would be very interesting if you could stabilize a short/bushy line of GT.
If you outcross it as it is without stabilizing, the polyhibrid would not be...
@JohnDee Good morning John,
The Thai should be stretchier that the Malawi but maybe the "moderate stretch" genes of the Malawi are dominant. Hopefuly.
Yeah, growing Sativas alongside some Indica can be tricky since Indincas like shorter dark periods (11 to 11.30 hours of darkness per day).
I...
Not if you pollinate early, to get fewer seeds that will be bigger/healthier.. I'll take quality over quantity any day.
Fully seeded buds don't make good seeds.
@JohnDee Hello John!
From what I've heard, the Malawi doesn't stretch too much and is relatively fast-flowering for A pure Sativa/NLD.
I like the structure of your Malawi plant! Well done. Topping off many times during the flowering stretch will help limit the final size.
I made a video on...
So true!
Some do the work but it is not the majority. And the few passionate breeders that produce stable or at least relatively stable strains are not the ones making the money.. Until the day when people start looking for real uniform/true breeding strains...
