has anyone put together the different lifetimes of the 3590s at 700, 1400mA, 1750, 2100, and higher?
i've always run them at 1400 but i am considering the higher amperages for more brightness and I'm just trying to get my head wrapped around the disadvantages of doing such. you know, aside from the additional heat i'll have to manage. any insights you can offer is greatly appreciated

So in terms of 500 watts in your 4x4 can it at least equal a 1000 watt light? whats the weight you got on that sq area using 500watts of cobs? in the area of 4x4 with cobs vs traditional hps are you getting the same yield per sqft?
what would your thought be on the HLG320 series - I'm looking to set up my first diy and wondering if it may be better to go with the 320 over the 185? thinking 4-6 cobs - and haven't decided on driving straight, have had some recommend 1050, others 1400, a few 2100 ... ill be starting a grow for medicinal purposes, so this is of importance to me
Hey Airwalker, thanks for the tip on using the M3 self-tap screws from ebay and a 7/64 drill bit in order to not have to tap. Did you have any issues with the heads of the screws ripping off when hand screwing in? I did a test-screw and it was a bit tight and I broke off the head while unscrewing it.
