Problem with Seedlings

I ran into a problem with my seedling recently and wanted some forum help trying to figure it out.

I recently got new genetics from a seed bank. I was going to change out my mother's for some new strains. I lost all 65 seeds between 3 different tries. I used the same method that I use for clones but all of my seedling turned yellow after a week and then stopped growing and eventually died.

I started them in a warm, damp paper towel until the popped. Then I transfered them to 1" rockwool cubes which had been soaked in pH 5.6 water overnight. I placed a pinch of rockwool cube on top of the hole to block the light. Then i stuck them in a propogation tray with a humidity dome over it. I placed my 6 lamp, 4' T5 about 4 inches above the dome. I watered the cubes as needed which was about twice a day with pH 5.6 R/O water. On the first grow I sprayed them. On the second grow I watered from the bottom of the tray. On the third try I hand watered each cube. They would normally begin to dry out after about 6 - 8 hours which is when I would water them again. During the first 2 tries I had a heat mat underneath which I kept at 85 degrees. On the third try I didn't use the heat mat. On all of the attempts after about a week the plants would stop growing and the leaves would turn yellow. They would eventually die.

Any suggestions?

I got the seed bank to replace all the seeds but I don't want to kill anymore if I did something wrong. Thank god I kept my original mom's.

That was nice of the seedbank to replace them seing it was your fault they fucked up.
Everything done right until you put them in the saturated rw cube, place them in a dome and continue overwatering causing death/rot.
Make sure the cube is about 50% wet to start and let it dry more after planting, no domes they are for clones and are far too humid for seedlings, heat mat ok and fluro ok.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm gonna try and step the watering back and see how it goes. I was watering them when the rockwool got dry and crusty. I'll take away the humidity dome and try and water them less. Thanks.

Unlike clones, as soon as the plant pops up out of the soil the dome needs to be removed. Cuttings have no root system so the humidity is what keeps the cuttings from wilting, once they have roots though they no longer need the domes like seedlings.

Sorry to hear about the loss. After they're in the bin they shouldn't need watering for 5-7 days depending on RH. I wouldn't go any lower than 5.5ph. After they pop up they have to come outta the bin or the door need to be left open. Put a single layer of gravel in your bin. You can water everyday once rooted provided you're on or in rock. I usesd the spent water from my budders to do all my veg.

Thanks Bird. I got the problem fixed though. They Express mailed me new seeds and I cleaned everything in the room. No issues now.
