organic supersoil!! No bottled nutes!! The recipe is on the first page of my other journal in my signature. Next year though I think I will copy Subcool's recipe or I might look into making a vegan supersoil recipe... dunno if it would be doable at all but I ll have to look into it. I love supersoil, its the only way I will always grow, so little guess work, you can give them water start to finish and get amazing result, I never looked at my PH or anything... learned a lot this winter... the main thing with supersoil is the bigger the container, the bigger the buds...

I don't mind her, you guys are mean!! she might be part owner of the company or the owner's girlfriend!! I don't like her clothing or style or hairdo but that is probably how Californian people dress!! I don't think she is ugly at all, or not enough to even talk about it! I sure wish other people were documenting their grow with HSS because I can't really rely on mine, I think the main issue in this grow was the shape of my blue container, I don't think the plants liked them at all.

I agree, I'm extremely tempted to say fuck it and buy the $800 panel....

How bright are those 5-6W LED's compared to the ones on the BS? Do they really throw light further for more penetration? or is it hype?

Its hard to say from looking at the footprint because they are very different, the BS is very red and the HSS kind of like daylight. I try not to stare at the lights so I couldnt tell you which one is the hardest to look at, but the diodes being so far apart on the HSS you can look at the light between diodes no problem. The blackstar has 45W extra and it shows...but again I will have to try the HSS again just like the FERO because I made mistakes.

the harvest is going to be very lame, they look like they won't be growing much more. Not sure what to think here... at least the potency will be there (are they frosty or what!!, except the conkushion is taking longer to frost. The other conkushion that was in the laundry basket smells and tastes like bubblegum, hopefully I will get similar buds on the good conkushion. My plants in with the HIDs are doing very well, I am gonna have to give another try to 12/12 from seeds with the LEDs, with my newly acquired knowledge, I think I can do A LOT better yield wise.

Nice grow man, buds look frosty as, blackstars are really worth the money.

I noticed that flowering under leds requires a higher day time temp, read that alot of people are noticing a increased rate of growth when temps are kept between 77-81f, anything lower and growth starts to slow.

Peace, keep up the good work :)

cool thanks, for now its all over... I added a T5 that wasnt on a timer and I forgot to turn it off one night, so instead of having them going through this stressful situation, I decided to harvest them the following morning, the 9th... they were not quite ready but they were kindof a waste of time. I did something wrong with those babies other than planting them in shitty container, their growth was stunted and they never recovered... Luckily the Grapefruit did very well and I am very satisfied with the blackstar... what I just harvested is currently water curing. I am trying to get a few clones, I may have time for another run if I start from clone but otherwise this was the end of it for now. I didnt take any pics of the harvest, I am getting busy again, will post pics of the dry buds, keep in mind water cured bud does not have the same bag appeal.

thank you all for watching, In the fall I will probably scrog and veg 2-3 plants until I can really fill the cabinet, I will probably put more light in the mix as well. Cheers, happy growing

Confused what the total harvest weight was for the Blackstar 240w? would you recommend buying one or shall i stick with my cfls? peace
