Rookie Closet Cfl Grow

My 1st grow

planted 2 seeds on easter...*Sunday....

and planted the other seed 2 days ago

got 2 x 26w cfl Daylite...1x 27w daylite and 1x 16w daylite

will ante up on the lights as they grow


My Big Girl Mary J....shes growin the biggest...




2nD Sprout...No Named...that sprouted along with Mary


3rd sprout that came out the soil yesterday
and is already as tall as my 2nd sprout

are you starting from rooted clones or seeds?

hmm cfl's?
HID lights are what you need man, but CFL's work fine.
you should get a couple more light though, for the extra lumens, got like the four pack of cfls from home depot. its like 5 bucks.
and if ur low on money check out the sig. thats where i get my cash haha. ive helped my friends out alot with their grows. ims ure urs will do good, what kina of soil?

if your growing with CFL and you have enough money to shell out and enough plugs I would get a 10 pack of 13w CFL

Im a new at growing also....I ordered so northern lights seeds and afgan.....is 300 watts good enough??and i got miracle grow liquid all purpose plant food, thats good for my plant right? one more question. can i re use soil? like if i spot a male and pull it will i be able too re use the soil?

if your gona reuse the soil I'd flush the soil alot dry it then put it into the oven to kill any bugs and such.

I would recomend using Flo. Tube lights for seedlings that you just planted.

and I would also recomend 20-20-20 plant food for veg

Do i just use the plant food when its veging? or can i use it when flowering?

20-20-20 is working perfect for me in veg but I would recoment using diffrent food or making your own food for flowering

I'm not using MG but any thing that is 20-20-20 should do for veg but you can try out diffrent brands of 20-20-20 and use each 1 on just 1 plant to see what works better there might be a diff there might not be one

for flowering it all depends on your strain and setup, people don't need micro nutes with their plant food but mine look like they need it, try diffrent foods and strengths try making their own food read your girls to see how they react, keep a log on how they are looking from day to day (pics would be better with your daly log) just exparament. I'm gona try to use 20-20-20 plant food to see how the smoke will turn out in the end

are you growing on your closet?
does it have a hanger bar?
do you have any pics of your grow area?

Yeah im going too grow in the closet waiting on the seeds in the mail..and yes it does have a hanger bar...and no i dont have any pics of grow area yet..

for a beginer I read that Nothern lights is a Medium grow difficulty Skill level and for the Afgan strain I'm not sure what the skill level is at but I would have started with seeds that are rated for beginers

im currently hangin some lights from the bar in the closet....

im grabbing more cfls...cuz the HID lights are 2 exspensive..im only doing 3 plants

at a time..cuz who knows all 3 could be males...

bought 3 more 27w Daylites and some Y connectors...

thats a total of 4 x 27w and 2 x 26 w makeing 160 w's over the 3 sprouts

will be grabbing alot more light soon

im goin back 2 home depot and grab the lamp that had like 5 heads on it
