I started a thread in the DWC section, ended up canning the DWC and just went with the soil plants that I had as extras at the start. Kinda funny, glad I kept them now. The DWC was cool, but just had to many problems. Ill try it again after this is done.

So, click the link if you want the history. Otherwise this is where Im at.

1000w HPS
Using Advance Nutes Sensi A+B
Voodoo Juice(just ran out of)
Piranha
Sensizym(just ran out of)
Mother Earth Tea bloom
Big Bud
Bud Candy

I think the 5 Plat Kush's and 1 Headband in the soil might be rootbound in the pots they are currently in. They are looking just fine, however, last night I checked the soil and gave a slight tug on the main stem...all the soil came with it as 1 chunk. Should I transplant into a larger pot or continue into flowering the way they are??? I took some pics of the buds, Im working on uploading now.

These were taken last night around 10:30pm. This is mid light cycle for these guys, they go 3pm to 3am. They are ready for some water but am holding off till today when I get home. I need to do the transplant, if i do it, tonight or tomorrow....probably a day after I water.

Day 19 of flowering

the SCROG is 4'x4.5'. Its covering a little more than that. I had two 100qt DWC coolers on the side, making it about 4'x8' and the light was higher. Only have 1 cooler in there now, bout to pull the plug on it to though.

Fed them last night.

Gave each plant about 1/3 to 1/2 gallon of water at about 1000ppm. Last time I fed them it was about 840ppm.

SUGAR!

and wtf?

start of some nute burn? some kind of deficiency? only 1 plant has a few leafs like this. I just fed them the other day. Thinking Ill give them some ph'ed water next, nothing else? Maybe Im just being paranoid. :)

Are your leave stems purple? Lower leaves more than the top? Looks likes the start of a nitrogen deficiency imo.

Its mostly the fan leaves that are purple.

what do you suggest for correction? They are due to be watered tomorrow, just giving them PH'ed water. I fed them nutes last time. Perhaps I should add something higher in nitrogen with this watering?

bump, anyone have a suggestion?

seeing these are top fan leaves showing the yellowing/spots, could this be another issue rather than nitrogen def? such as just nute burn or salt build up?

I recommend making your normal batch for flower and then add about 2-3 tsp per gallon of veg nutes to it. In my case I added 12tsp of B.C. Grow to my 4 gallons of flower nutes.

I gave them ph'ed water this time around. I gave them nutes in back to back feedings, no ph'ed water between, the last 2 times around. Thinking its time to clean out any salts that might of built up anyway. I will base the next watering off of how they react to this.

Thinking, yellowing slows/stops then it could of been they start of a salt build up issue.

If it continues then they will be getting the typical nutes for this week + Ill add some cal/mag as its 2-0-0, which should help if its a Nitrogen problem.

Personally I never use just water unless something is going really wrong and I only do it for 24 hours. Her roots are always in nutes. As long as she isn't over fed salt usually doesn't build up.

So its def a Cal/Mag def of some sort, tips of the leafs are turning black. Some are yellowing. Not a lot, but its a start. I gave them a weak dose of nutes + cal/mag right after I did the ph'ed flush. Once they are dry, or close, Im going to feed them again with full strength + cal/mag.

Other than that, the buds are looking nice. The clones are coming along, I added another T-8 shop light to the clone box. I hope to be able to take a cutting from the lemon girl in a few days. One of the Plat Kush's is growing quite well. The Headband is coming along, just noticed it has to big main stems, must of took the cutting that way. Its starting to get going now. The seedlings have finally stopped stretching for the sky! I have 2 other Headband clones that are holding in there, but not looking so hot.

Pics from today.

So, the Plat Kush's are all exhibiting dark tips and spotty dark patches. I just fed them yesterday. They received about 1/2 to 1 gallon, all had good run off, about 10%. Sensi A+B, Sensizyme, Big Bud, Bud Candy, Mother Earth Tea Bloom, Cal/Mag Plus, and I might be forgetting something....

I also...took the risk...and transplanted the Headband into a 5 gallon pot. Mixed the current soil with Sunshine #4 on the bottom and sides. EEK! I know. The roots were wrapping the bottom quite a lot. I really should of planted it higher in the bucket to begin with. So far so good though. I did notice the very top of the plant split though. Im pretty worried about that. It didnt break off. Just split. I didnt take a pic of this though. Otherwise it hasnt started to droop to much.
