So lets come together and share our ideas, tips, and experiences of growing in the 6 States. As we all know growing in New England can be tricky for some, but mostly begginers for the fact that we deal with different factors than growers in some other areas.( Especially if you grow year round). Such as dramatically fluctuating temps, storms that bring power outages, and etc... Im no pro by any means. But i am a hobbyist, enthusiast, and a activist on the subjects of Cannabis and have high hopes for its legalization. So Lets learn from each other on this thread and build a network of information for us to have @ our finger tips..

LETS GROW!!!

P.S.
for initiation into the Club one must smoke a Blunt , Doob , or Packed Bowl to the face! No exceptions!

As my first contribution to the thread I thought I would share this..

200w Space heater. Perfect for small tents to keep night time temps up in cooler seasons. the heater measures 6.5" tall x 3.5" deep x 4.25" wide. My flower tent is a 4x4x6.5' and temps really drop @ night due to the fact that its in my basement. And there is no way im going to try and heat the entire basement for 12 hrs. so I put this little guy in there and my temps have gone from 50f - as high 70f with my exhaust off. but i dial it down to about 65-68f with my exhaust fan and fan speed controller. I have it hooked to a timer so 5 mins before lights go out the heater kicks on. then it shuts off just after lights come on. its awesome! I scored a few of them from Walmart. They were like $10 each.. Just make sure you put a few layers of black duc tape over the on/off switch because it illuminates.. it is a ceramic heater so the coils dont glow.... Check it out....

yea bro they are legit for small tents /rooms that get cold. you just have to make sure your exhaust doesnt suck all the heat out.

For those who cannot perform the initiation ritual, a double initiation will be accepted but must be performed within 7 days of honorary placment... J/K of course man.. Welcome aboard!

Lots of fun in the garden!!! Modifying cab for mothers and clones then A res change and a hand water of my pre98 bubba seedlings..yyaaaayyy

Being in a basement in NE i'm going to have to give those a look at for only 200w. I used to get 61F nights and 78F days. Now running 24's during veg I get 71-80 in there @ 35-50% RH. Cant do that all the time so looking for other heat sources. I'm going to try to run my newly installed mom lights while the other light is off to keep some heat in. I also cycle room air through the reflector to keep the heat. But i'm exhausting 480CFM 24/7.

Good thing about NE basement is 65F res temps.

Yeah man my temps can get below 50f in my basement as winter progresses. Im about positive that running 2 of these when the lights are out will keep my temps in the 70's. Then I can use my fan speed controller to adjust. I put the controller on the lower setting when the lights go out so I do suck all the heat out the tent.
