I have a WaterFarm. But now it is more like DWC. I put two airstones in the Rez water. Now the root ball hanging in the Soup is about the size of a soccer ball, and the air stones are now up in the middle of this MASS of roots. Very nice white, healthy looking roots.

What is the PH supposed to be for DWC, especially during flowering stage?

The plant is in a 6"X6" rockwool surrounded by those red clay balls (Hydroton). This has a drip halo that goes on for 15 minutes every hour. The root ball went threw the holes in the bottom and found a new home down in the rez below.

I keep mine at 5.8. As far as i know between 5 and 6 should be ok

You sure about that? 5.8 is for flood & Drain, and I thought Airo also. I always thought Deep Water Culture was lower like 5.4 or something was best.

mine are in dwc and they seem to be fine apart from a few accidents created by me

I don't think it makes a huge difference between 5.5 and 5.8 to be honest

I keep mine 5.5 to 6.

5.8-6.2 is the best zone for nute uptake

This is always handy to have - I try and keep mine @ 5.8 in hydro/coco
