Late Flowering and Zero Smell

I have a jackberry/kush 2 weeks away from chop, and it has absolutely no scent. She looks fine, has solid resin production for the strain...and here's the kicker:

It's a Sannie cross, and all of his previous gear I did reeked to high heaven!.

Has anyone else had this unusual phenomenon?. I have long since lost track of how many plants I have grown out, and until now have never experienced this.

Peace!

must be the phenotype the only other thing i can think of that would cause this is high temps in flower.

Hmm, it could be the temps...although it's been cool in there at night. I have a northern lights w/no smell either getting frosty. Both pics are the Jb/kush:

Hmmmm..heat..I think if both have no smell it wouldnt be pheno. But if just the JB has no smell its posable that the pheno didnt carry over much THC-V (tetrahydrocanibivarin)which tends to carry most of the tast and smell, but will not effect the high .IMO

This is indeed rather strange, and it does have a slight smell...like rotting mushrooms. Thinking back, I did have this happen on one other occasion. When I harvested one the last time, it smelled so bad I almost processed it with trim. Then I decided to be patient and try a long cure...which worked. After a month in a jar, the taste/smell converted to normal and the potency was actually higher than the remainder of the "normal" smelling sister plants.

It threw me for a loop b/c I just harvested another jackberry/kush from the same batch of seeds, and that one stunk up the entire house for a month.

Now you have me researching...lol

like a mushroom smell like dirty socks or wet laundry? that is a genetic characteristic i have come across in quite a few phenotypes of many different strains. discontinue the gentics and grow something else.

I already did, it was the last bean anyways. The way to describe the smell is more like compost. Plant looks great though, cranking out the resin. Not much else to do w/it but try and cure, or make kief but even then I'm not sure if that would eliminate the shitty taste. Maybe I'll break out the old BHO kit for this one.

Why can't all of the desired phenotypes be combined into one bean?. If I want to grow attractive looking plants I'll try orchids, don't need a lavender colored cannabis plant that tastes like ass!. Oddly enough, when I used to grow bagseed they all came out pretty much the same so commercial growers do it to some extent...or so it seems.

I think I'll go over to sannies forum and pose this question, since they made the beans.

And my guess is that older, more stable strains are less likely to have bad phenos...yes?.

bag seed is usually all similar because they are usually f1 which show more dominant traits such as vigor height and flower time. you got the dirty sock pheno. that shit sucks and i only use plants like that for edibles. even if you use it to make bho, thee bho will smell and taste like the buds.

Ok .heat probably not.i see that heat would promote more THC-V .Unless its extrem heat.THC-V not only brings
the flavor and smell it prolongs the beginning and extends the high. But does not effect the high strength.

Ya picture does not look two weeks away from chop. It looks more like 4-6 weeks from chop, that could be why there's nnot much smell to it, the aroma isnt gong to really come out till a few more weeks is my guess but
what do I know lol?

Not a heat issue, the northern lights is beginning to smell "normal"...just an undesired pheno in the other one. I haven't even looked at it under the microscope yet so it could take longer than 2 weeks, the sunlight in that room makes everything look whiter when photographed.
