i've grew blue mystic which only turned a bit purple on its last run, out of 4 runs. and it was mainly due to heat stress.

plants show their purple hues when exposed to low tempertures at the end of flowering. otherwise, they don't.

really have NOTHING to due with if thoes are really what he was told it is.

Your buds looks fantastic. I really should grow a sativa too :<

It's the Bridge here Scotty, hows the engine room?....the engine rooms looking like its running at quite a high warp factor there

As far as nutrient line for soil, I used Plagrond previously (good with soil or coco - all organic) And now I use Bio Nova, also organic. But these girls don't look like they got any nute problems, far from it. Or are you not happy with the growth rate?

I would agree with Claptoman, perhaps a bit of the cold treatment on your girls to bring those purple hues out. McOne uses a 0 degrees celcius water flush, this shocks the plant into thinking the frost/colder weather is coming in so it a/ it starts to die, but before that, b/ it starts to suck up resin into the bud. this cold treatment may also help bring out the colour? But it looks like a grand job so far. So as a suggestion, 48 hours before the chop, switch the lights out and feed them freezing water. Then try and bring the temps down to below 20 c (75f) while they sit in the cold dark for the last 48 hours of life....... I don't think you will risk damaging the girls doing this either.

I was just thinking, when you have fresh cut flowers, if you put them in water with some food colouring, you will see the food colouring coming out in the petals of the flower...I wonder what the story would be with bud???

Here are your pics the right way round:mrgreen:

Although saying that, I can see a tinge of purple in those buds already anyway. Good job china!!!

You are correct, we are approaching critical levels ! ! ! No time to even set pictures right-side up!! Ahhh AHH.

...Very interesting stuff about the 0 degree celsius flush DST, thanks. And thanks or flipping those shots around:roll::mrgreen:

The pics didn't show it, but they are turnin' deep hues of lavender... the darkness and cold flush might just turn 'em black :bigjoint:!

Ok Scotty, that'll keep us quiet for a short while, but the Bridge will be wanting updates from the engine room!!!

So, not having a massive amount of experience with purples, is there a difference in the smoke? I have always avoided Purple Haze from coffeeshops in the past because it has been generally outdoor grown and harsh....this is also a motivation for me to give a purple a g(r)o:weed: Whats the opinions?:peace: DST

Difference in the smoke... hmm... well I've ingested quite a few purples as of late. They're most always heavy indicas, (always indoor where I get it as I live in San Francisco and got the medcard goin' on) and if they're good they take on a very sweet danky smell while producing an amazing smooth n sweet taste when inhaled - especially through the volcano (my instrument of choice:-P).

I can't smoke 'em til late in the evening(9,10pm) though as they knock you out... always have some pure sativa on hand here in the engine room to keep everything running properly during the day.

I'd say forget that bloody coffeeshop shwag purpz you got in yer head and give it a 'g(r)o' yourself! My favorite indoor "purple" strains are: The Black(out of this world!!..) Purple Princess, and Platinum Purple.
p.s. If you do decide to seek some purple beans out and come across the black, let me know where you found it! ..it mine as well be extinct to me
