Are they ready?

I've got a sour diesel and some kind of kush plant flowering right now. they're at almost 8 weeks. was wondering if you think they are ready. the kush plant is the bushier one and the sour diesel plant has the pointier cola.

i'm thinking i should take them down in at most 7 days, though likely sooner. what do you think? thanks

30x magnification of some kind. Take a look at the trichome heads. They fill up and get cloudy when they are ready (as well as turn amber).

thanks man. so i took some macros of a few trimmings. the tips of the trichs still look a bit clear. what you think?

the darker leaf is from the diesel.

Think I see a fair amount of cloudy, maybe 25%. Tough to tell. Been going nuts with my trics, getting more amber than cloudy, probably how strain ripens.

One week could be good, depends on how you like it, a bit 'edgy' or longer for more laid back.

You definately have a bit longer than 7 days. Sometime this point of the grow seems to go slower than any other. Patience my friend

I see a lot of clear trich heads which means you still got a good bit of time. Hard to say how long, but check them like you did just now in a week and see how they have progressed. I would guess 3 more weeks but what do I know.

I agree with boner, let it go for just 10 days then flush.

thanks everyone. i actually stopped nutes about 6 days ago. should i resume for 7 days then flush, or just continue water/molasses only?

water/molasses water should be fine, you're in the zone

It is nowhere near ready.

Look at the first picture - most of the trics are not even fully formed yet.

some of the trichs were likely damaged when i removed those trimmings. couldnt wedge my tripod into the closet so had to cut off some leaf pieces.

where did you trim from? leaf isn't the spot to check trics on. those trics will be further along than the bud, and give an impression of a plant being riper than it actually is.

yeah i'll check the trichomes on the buds in about a week and see how they are. i'll post those as well. thanks again.
