Opinions on my new set up Design?

SOG grow room design

^empty grow room (boxes marked "42w 6inch" are cfls). pc fans at bottom are intake

seedling stage ^

flowering stage^ (im worried about running out of room here)

lights from above (4 42w cfls)^

plant seedlings 16 of them in party cups

flowering will have a max of 6 females in 2 L bottles

Forgot to mention that i plan on having 18/6 for two weeks then 1212 and slowly weed out the males untill theres only females then im going to pick out the 6 best and transplant them into the two liters. do you think they will get to tall?

the only thing I might suggest to have your 5 inch fan blowing up on the lights rather than down on them. Having the fan above will blow the hot air back down to the plants. Having the fan blowing from underneath the light will still cool your lights, and will push the hot air up away from the plants. I know a lot of people do it your way, but I would never have a fan blowing down.

sounds like a lot of plants for the area you got, hope your growing some dwarf autos... why would you ever need 16 seedlings for this type of setup?

Would still suggest more advanced jogging to keep them short since you have so little room.

Looks decent though I would really have passive intake active exhaust over an active intake passive exhaust setup you have.

Move the fans to the top of the setup and have them blowing out. Also be sure your intakes at the bottom are double the area at least.

1.2x1.2x2' enclosure? Id suggest sticking to one or two plants - most plants even if grown 12/12 from seed take up a minimum footprint of 1'x1'.

well i was going to keep them in party cups and have it 1212 from seed, is there really not enough room? gotta still add mylar, fans (intake will now be 2 inline fans), carbon filter, and the back to cab which will include door with hinges and a lock.
also i was thinking of creating positive air pressure in the cab from the intake fans then air blowing out the carbon filter. heres some pics so far.

Way NOT enough room dude. You're better off starting with 1 plant (maybe 2 if you're not using fem).

This is decent starter setup for vegging a couple small plants. You better use dwarf autos, like suggested above.

Check my video below. My plants (8 of them) vegged for 3 weeks and that video was taken about 1 week into flower. They still had a lot of growing left to do. Everything grows very slow in the beginning, but they will literally tripple in size during the first 2 weeks of flower. You're going to have a plant all up over your lights in no time. I'd say good luck, but you'll need more than that.

thats just the point im NOT using fem so i cant just grow one plant because that will waste my time and money, i want to start with 9 plants untill there sexed and then keep max 5 females. theoretically i have just under 40 sq inches per plant horizontally (14inch x 14inch = 196 total sq inches, 196 total sq inches / 5 plants = 39.2 total sq inches per plant) the main thing im worried bout is height, ive seen party cup grows get to 16inchs tall but that wasn't 1212 from seed

Are you able to move that shelf the cups are on? Also I think with some LST and 12/12 from seed you'll be fine.

I'd try to get 2 females, max. So maybe pop 6 beans at the most? if your planning to train them low (which your going to with that height), you will need the horiztonal space. If you end up with 5 fems in there it's gonna be super packed.

I am probably gonna get ripped for this but I don't care as I had a bad day.

You have over 1800 posts which I know doesn't make you a pro grower, it does however indicate that you have read a fair few posts and commented........ alot. Why are you posting the most basic of setup with questions I would expect from 16yr old wanting to grow 10kg off 6 plants in a shoe box. Do you have the memory of a goldfish or is it an attention thing, surely you have learn't something throughout your 1800 posts.

Sorry to be so harsh but c'mon, what's the crack here.

Hey dude.. pvc 3'x3'x5'(LxWxH), throw some elbow conectors and T conectors to have your lights hang from, poly plastic, and hey you have a decent tent! You already got pc fans and lights! You say you want to get it done in 4-8 weeks why not save $80 for a tent? Just my opinion

I currently have a 3'x2'x3'(LxWxH) tent for veg and that's still small for me I end up having the lights all the way up and still touching the plants... but I'm perpetual so 2 month veg from clone and by the end of veg they are in 5 gal pots.

only 1.5 feet high, I thought it looked bigger than that lol, 12/12 from seed would probably be your best bet and keep them in the smaller pots, if you give them any more root space they're gonna take off in height. And its probably best to make negative pressure by sucking air out and drill out some passive intakes at least that way you know at least 90% of the air leaving your grow box is going thru the carbon scrubber.

if need be you might have to just bend the plants over and tie down, though I would definitely recommend femmed seeds especially for a small scale grow (for your next attempt

and if thats the max height you have I'd definitely look into indica's

but all in all it should be ok, I've had plants (almost pure indica's) in about 1.5 - 2 ft of height and they worked out fine.

Harsh but true. How do you get 1800 posts without knowing a few basics. 18" vertical just isn't enough space. That isn't even enough height for the plant material, so you can forget about trivial items like pots, lights, fans, and ANY clearance room. Trying to stuff more than two plants in there is a joke.

Hey some people just like to hear themselves talk and they spend WAY more time and effort on drawing little diagrams than actually growing anything. If the OP ever gets past doodles and actually builds something, he'll realize that you can easily draw a plant thats only 6" tall ... but plants don't read!
