Ok I was stoned, am now too, but like I said, I was stoned, standing in the hall way feeling the ac breeze blow under the door from my gro room into the air intake of my central ac until, well what if I replaced my ac filter for one with active carbon???
Even if they dont make them (havent looked yet but I wam) I can make my own, since this moves a shit load o air (no clue how much but I have a 5 ton unit) what do you think will happen? Would it be enough on it's own? I have a 2200 sq foot home, but we cut it down to half by closing off the other half to cut down our cooling cost.

rep for good informative replies.

Im so fucking high this morning yall!

I was a Lowes a while back and they had a filter made specifically for a house furnace with a layer of "active carbon". I found it where they keep all of the other heppa filters and such. It was somewhere between $10 and $15.

I purchased one and stuck the active carbon piece (it was about 2.5'x2.5') to the back of my box fan. The intake of the box fan kept the carbon layer stuck to it, and it cleaned the air as the fan blew.

I dont know how this may help you, but if you cover the intake of the AC with these "sheets" of carbon it may help. I now have 4 box fans and 4 carbon sheets I run when I am harvesting. I can still somewhat smell it in the same room I am harvesting in, however I can no longer smell anything in the other parts of my house wnen harvesting.

GL!
