This will be my 3rd time using CoCo soilless blends (I was sworn hydro since I began), currently using Batch 64 ( Link ) but have used Tupar Royal Gold ( Link ) and Botanicare Slacker ( Link ) in the past. For the cost so far I have been digging the Batch 64 (~$23 for 2CuFt) and no major differences have been seen between the blends.

Aurora (Root Organics) Cloth Pots ( Link )

Lumatek Ballasts ( Link )

6" Magnum Hoods ( Link )

Eye bulb ( Link ) and Ushio bulb ( Link )- My LHS has them on sale at various times so I will usually pick up whichever is on sale. The Eye bulb looks visibly more "blue" than the Ushio.

HortiTrellis screen ( Link ) - Super underutilized in peoples grows. The squares are a little big for my liking and that may be why its absent in smaller grow settings.

Dutch Master - Veg A+B, Flower A+b, Add.27
Canna- PK 13/14
GH- CALiMAGic
Botanicare- Silica Blast, Liquid Karma

Strains:
** BlackBerry Kush
** Bubblegum
** TGA Qleaner
TGA PlushBerry pink pheno
Rare Dankness Blue Ox (also using 2 BO males as breeder dads)

** indicates currently in flower

Current Flower Cycle

It started getting really cold here in Colorado so I had to put up reflectix insulation over the window to help with temperature stability. I only had scraps left from my reservoirs in the past so its pretty bad looking, but it works.

Qleaner Still has a ways to go but is looking frosty. This strain goes a full 10 weeks.

How did u like the tupar? I just transplanted 2 girls into it. Coming from a peat based soilless. The tupar went right through the pots really fast. A lot different then other coco I've used.

The tupar was nice, it was my first cross over to coco blends. I modified my techniques to match those of the mmj comp I worked for and this is what they used. Overall I didnt see any benefit over the slacker or the batch 64. I believe it was the most expensive with the slacker coming in right behind it. I water really heavy with about a liter of runoff per plant, every other day.

When you say right through the pots, could you clarify some? Like it was falling out of your drain holes on the bottom of the pot, or it compressed alot once it was watered in?

Basically the runoff was outrageous came out way faster then let's say the canna coco. But if I get 4 waterings in 8 days like u say ill be super stoked.

Ah ok, I see now. Yeah I could see that being the case.

"Royal Gold Tupur was developed with one idea in mind-Feeding the plant as much and as often as possible!"

I guess the thought process is the increased drainage allows you to flood more efficiently multi times a day.

To combat the drainage flow you are describing I moved to cloth pots that have no drainage holes but instead have to "soak" through the pot to drain.

I was/am also using 5gal pots so the coco for me stays saturated without the plants suffering from the every other day schedule. The mmj company still uses royal gold and they water once a day in 5gal pots but their light wattages are easily 10x higher than my own grow.

18k in this one flower room. Each warehouse had about 5-7 flower rooms.

Veg room that feed all the flower rooms in 1/4 warehouses

Another fun game is spotting the cameras in the pictures ;)

Thanks, Its always an evolving method of growing. I will be expanding to 4k watts when I move and have a better electrical panel to work with.

The blackberry smells like you opened up a bag of blueberry frosted mini wheats or a bag of fruit loops. Really quite incredible. Its downside (dont they all have one?) is that the yield on it is my lowest of my strains, but often the most requested. I will be utilizing my male RD Blue Ox to cross with the blackberry and start incorporating my TGA Qleaner into it for a yield boost but hopefully keep the color change and smell.

Ive never heard the term "skeleton netting" but I am gonna guess that is more along the lines of what the MMJ comp and I both do. Our plants are grown untrained besides topping in a veg room and then when they move into the flower room they are tied down into the netting. Anything that wont make it to the top in the stretch is removed.

Right now, due to space constraints, its about 10 weeks from clone cutting unrooted. For the last few cycles (I move in aprilish) I have been taking clones as I put the "moms" into flower for the next cycle. I move them under the HID's for about a week as a acclimate them to the brighter lights.

Currently I have 7 untested blue ox females that will go in after this cycle ends in a few weeks. I will run a Qleaner in there as well just to ensure the time is well spent in case some ox are duds.

Once I move I will keep a dedicated mom and rotate her out about every 5ish months or so. I top them alot to keep them the sizes I need.

Why thank you very much. I try to keep everything clean and organized. It helps having a bathroom dedicated to storing nutes and mixing water. I have a table that my flower plants are on so they all drain their runoff to a central location I can dump back in the bathroom.

On to the fun stuff.

Its hard to get the entire canopy without using panorama on my phone

what he said ^ lol

i know re: the bathroom. we have one we can water/mix in but it's also a guest bath so no storing nutes, boo hiss

If its not a security concern, ie hiding it from guests, maybe a shelf on the wall with drywall anchors will make storing of the nutes "neater". I think it adds a cool wow (mini laboratory) factor bc even in colorado many of my friends have no idea what goes on behind the scenes.

Thanks Nova, thats great to hear. Once heard a Chef say half the meal is eaten with your eyes ;)

Here is my little work area, I write different variations of nute mix ups on my mirror in dry erase marker so I dont have to trial and error it each time I water to remember what I gave them last week. Looks like a crazy persons house? Slightly, but it makes real stoned watering real easy and error free. I think there is currently 7 different "recipes" on the mirror.
