Well hello people, it is time I start and actually finish a grow journal. Just finished upgrading my new grow room so now is as good a time as any to start.

Here is how it is - Grow room is 2700mm long x 1100mm wide and 2200mm high.
Using mostly House&Garden nutrient with a couple other products in the mix as well.
2 x Moby dicks( GreenHouse seeds)
1 x Karragullen - Unknown strain but had for a long time.
Each plant is sitting in a 50 litre pot with a grate spacer, potsok, a good layer of hydroton and then filled with pertlite and watered through a 12 inch water ring.
Each plant has it's own 60 litre res with airstone, water circulation pump and a 1200L/hour water pump which recirculates back to the res.
1 x Gravita Pro 1000 placed smack bang in the middle in a fixed position and 2 x Lucagrow 400w HPS covering the 2 ends.
1 x 300mm fan and a 150mm fan to exhaust and 2 x light proof air vents for passive air intake.
3 x wall fans and 1 fan and the ground for air movement.

Yet to build a scrog table and i will get a dehumidifier a bit closer to flowering time.

Some pics of the room and it is day 1 for the three babies!

The Gravita Pro in it's fixed position. Set on 600w at the moment.

Karragullen on the left and a Moby on the right. Both cutting were taken on the same day, i just struggled to get the Karragullen to take. She seems ok now.

And i now have some good temps to work with:)

Dude that's an awesome setup! Very clean too mate, nice work hey :D
Cheers Mo, i do like my new room. I cant wait to see almost 3 sq/meters of buds.

I give my shed a good clean between each run, it isn't totally sealed so a fair bit of shit blows in by the end. I wash everything down with hot water and bleach and three flea bombs are set off just to nuke the area. I have been attacked by spider mite once before in my earlier days, where i ended up throwing my plants in the fire!!!

Thanks for stopping in mate. We will see if i can have a trouble free grow, it doesn't happen often though!

I got rid of my 1200x1200 tent and now using all the space in my build in room. I yielded pretty well last time with a total of 39 oz. Of the Karra/Moby under the Gravita Pro i got 30.5 oz. 18.4 of the Karra and 12.1 from the Dick. And the Exodus Cheese which i did nothing with got 8.5. Still going to get a dehumidifier, just to be safe.

Hell yeah mate, im excited to see it as well :D how do you not get paranoid with that much green in the house? I'd be terrified of getting nailed by the po po with that much lol.

Your cleanliness is a good thing bro, never hurts to be overly clean!

Towards the end i do get a little paranoid Mo, but touch wood i will be fine!! Closest neighbour is 100m or so and is buffered by a thick stand of eucalyptus trees.

Well it day 7 of grow toady and they have had their first lot training done(last night before lights went out) Just pulling out their tender young branches to form some sort of octopus plant. Simply done with insulated copper wire that was lying around the shed.

The Karragullen in the centre. She has a little catching up to do!
P1010676.jpgP1010677.jpg
Moby Dick#2(L/H Side) This one i have decided to do a little trail on. I am just going to feed it's base nutrients for the whole grow. It just want to see if all these extra additives do that much. This only came about when speaking to another grower who has done the test himself and he said he could not tell any difference between them growing and noticed a much improved taste to the final product. So i thought i would give a go, who knows it could save me a penny or two!! I will start the trail from mid week when I get in and change their waters.

I will hopefully get my first screen in soon as there is only so much you can do with the copper wires.

Cheers Chipper

I like that idea and am really looking forward to your findings...Im always looking for a simple KISS method that works with some proven results. Ive seen many grows using nothing but the Flora Nova Bloom from start to finish with success, but heard its messy in a recirc system like you and I have. I have also heard of people using the Canna Vega 2 part from start to finish with success, but still they added a few extras. Veg+Bloom 1 part I have heard of people using with mixed reviews and more success seems to be found in soil or a drain to waste application, as I dont think pH maintains stability very well. Personally I want to try Jacks Professional Hydro/Cal nit for a run in the flood tables... course Ill add the usual crap on top of it but it would be awesome to have succes with stuff that costs that little. The room looks SUPER clean man, cant wait for the BUDZZ!!!!

To be honest Soup, I haven't checked the pH or anything once since changing to this hempy system and my pH pen breaking. This is my third run now. When I was growing in coco and a run to waste system i got to know where my pH was sitting so i just go off that. As the plants water level drops i just top up with plain old water with a few drops of pH down added. Tap water here was about 7.1 last time i checked.

As for the trail i may add a product called Heavy Weight come flowering(P:13 - K:15) I also think she will need something the extra during flower. I would love to just use the three products, i will just have to wait and see for myself;-)

I cant wait for the buds either mate, I always find the grow stage a little boring. Saying that though, there are plenty of critical things that must be done in those 4 weeks of grow if you want to see a sea of buds!!!

Cheers Chipper

Love the comparison idea Chipper. Be nice to see how much the supplements actually do. I don't mind the training stage so much, it's nice to shape the plant how you picture it should be. It's the post flip stretch, where it seems all I do is trim leaves for 2 weeks that gets me. Looking forward to an immense amount of scroggage here!

It's the stretch and the pruning that comes with it take like. It takes me back to my old tree climbing days(former job before fuckin my back again) It is a pretty easy trail to carry out since they all have their own water supply. I am keen to see how she will go!! All these bottles of additives like H&G's Root Exculator sure do add up.

Thanks for taking the time to stop in:grin:

Lookin pretty awesome Chipper :D all your ladies are taking to the training well!

It's funny man, up until maybe two grows ago, I only ever used ionic or flairform base nutes, some pk 13/14 for a week of flower and some organic psycho bud and that was it. Running the same strain as I did this time, I actually had 2oz less this time using the cyco nutes and they cost me a lot more. In saying that though, the balance of nutrients in the cyco were fantastic and are easier to adjust if a deficincy occurs. I also believe the cyco nutes have given me better quality buds too :)
