Got some seeds, Caramelicious.

Just planted one for trial run. Soil, MG potting, no nutes (now)

I sprouted it under a 60W incandecinet grow bulb. Ran it under that for a week, maybe a bit longer.

Then graduated to a 70W HPS. Also transplanted to a larger container. Plant spent about 3 weeks on that.

Now up to a 150W HPS. And once again, xplanted to a larger container (12 inch pot now)

This veg growth is 24/7. Automatic watering and shots of CO2 controlled by a PLC. That can be re-programed/adjusted over the internet. I travel for work, so this is a help.

At about 4 or 5 weeks, a couple of cuttings were taken for cloning. I have seen some pistils during this veg growth, so I feel good its a girl.

Grow room is now going under a transformation. A veg side and a Flowering side.

Plant is about 1.5-2 months old. Pics are from today.

The tube around the base is for watering. Water is gravity fed (only a 2.5gal jug) no chance for a huge flood while I'm gone. The watering ring has holes around the bottom. The flow out of it is pretty even. I had originally just slit the tube, and if the ends weren't perfectly level to each other, the lower one flowed, the other just dripped at best. This method works nice since the hole are small (heated a pin and melted through) ti restricts flow enough, that the tube ills and gravity/water pressure keeps it flowing evenly. It does have to be kinda level, but a LOT more room for error.

Yes the tin foil is about to go!

Pyrex Bake-a-round tubes are coming in the end of the week for a DIY cooltube. Then I can finish up the new veg area, and then work on the flowering side.

Feel free to comment

Just an update.

Things seem fine. Almost scared to flower Momma Cass, so She is delegated to being a baby factory.

You can see the clones in their domes in the bottom corner.
I have 2 set ups. The tall one is just 2 plastic tubs standing up and a cutting in a 1 inch rockwool block with rootech gel. Gets a spritz every once in a while. The lower squatter one has a floating Styrofoam frame with a metal lathing on top. This keeps the bottom of the rockwool at a consistent height of the water. (if the water rises or lowers, the clones follow) There is an air pump working as a bubbler.

Controls got rewired, and reprogrammed. Added in separate Veg and Bloom controls for water, CO2, lighting and venting. (still got to make the wires and tubing a bit neater.

The BloomRoom if off to the right. Not wired up yet. I still gotta get the clones to root and veg for a bit, then its go time! So I have a month or two to play.

Thanks man!

And I have taken at least 6 cuttings. (Yeah, I don't keep track of every little detail.)

There are at least 3 or 4 branches that can produce good buds.
(and tons of others better for cloning) She is just screaming to flower, the horny little bitch. :)

I'm gonna be gone most of next week, so gotta get the 'grow cam' and the water jugs set up. Along with the spare if I gotta have my sister come over to replenish water res. (but I think 8 gallons should hold it for 5 or 6 days. Though have a 2 week job coming up. I just want the clones in soil by then)

what are you using for you cloning, like what kind of jel, powder, did you put them in rock wool?
i am debating where or not i should try and do some cloning, obviously i want too...but we'll see.

Its all in the post.

Rootech Gel
1 inch Rockwool cubes under a floating bubbler.
In a dome.

If you know its a female then YES try cloning! No more guess work at to whats growing. Plus it gives you a rolling grow. Take clones every 3 weeks, harvest every 3 weeks (ish) Granted that will take time to get the 'roll' rolling.

My apologies, i usually surf and read when im stoned.

So you just cut a like a 45 degree angle, dunk it in the gel and place it in the rockwool under the dome till it start to root? easier said than done, but is that the process?

are you taking the whole branch, or just a shoot? ( i think thats the right word?)

Actually, it is that easy. (i think) the rockwool is moistened and the bubbler keeps it that way.

great job, dude! the setup looks ideal. get ready for a great grow. the only thing missing is: dont forget to add a UVB lamp during the last few weeks of flower to boost THC levels.

good luck!
