Here we grow again....

Hello and welcome ladies and gentlemen, lets just start things off right away and I'll explain the methods to my mayhem along the way. I know this is a journal, but I can't help but write as if I'm speaking to everyone reading... I enjoy feed back and criticism, so lay it on me.

This grow is going to be two (2) ak-48's fem'ed from Nirvana seeds....
Germination started on Sunday the 27th, they cracked with-in 24-48 hours even though they have been in the freeze for about a year. Right now they are in peet pellets.
I call the last two, 'lets get crackin'

Nice to have you aboard! I hate to post with no pics, but I will make up for it by posting extra bud pics later ;)

I just prepped two(2) 8.5 inch white square pots with some FF oceans forest, worm castings and a little less then a tablespoon of a soil builder from Growtech. I also lined the bottoms of the pots with some large 3-4 size perilite and then mixed in a handful with the rest of the soil for superb aeration and drainage.

My girls will go into a DR100L grow tent with a hooded vented 400 watt digital switchable ballast currently outfitted with a MH for veg. Dialing in the temps now... be back in 24-48 hours... (hopefully with pics of said description)

Happy Thursday Growers!

Looking good man
Im here now,I didnt now that was a link...
Thanks bud.
Your here now and that's all that matters.

This grow is going to be entirely organic like the last one, I've tried no-where near it all when it comes to all the different types of cannabis grown all the different ways, but organic soil grows are, to date, my favorite - so far. Maybe it's just this awesome plant... last time it was a genetic freak of bud, lets see if we can't nurture some more of what I got last time out of these girls.

I've turned them and swapped their spots a couple times... new growth looks nice and healthy, 4th node clearly appearing. Unless one herms or turns out to be a boy, it's more then safe to say we have two in the shoot at the moment.

Here's my thoughts on getting the most from these girls, no sense in putting another screen in for two plants so I think I'm going to do a combo of lst'ing and topping. I've still never topped more then once so on one I'm going to top at least twice. I have some plant ties that I'll bust out when the time is right. Also have to install the nanny before the holidays, gonna need someone to water the girls when things get busy. Besides, this is the season to remind us about Jesus, not one of his plants... but I sure do appreciate some of these plants Lord!

I don't have enough experience to be able to say exactly what it is, but I know for a fact that there is something to be gained by doing things the natural way, and whatever that something is, I like it.

The Nanny's are here.
These girls have earned their first real drink, I'll start a light brew with mostly seabird guano, worm castings, and some light organic nutes,... more on this when the time comes...

A topping is in order as well, 5th node is here and just busting to be 6,7, and 8. These two are about to need some special attention if I'm going to lst them, the stems are unusually strong on these, the fan must be a little stronger then it needs too, i just don't want it to get too hot...

Thats pretty cool...
Does that help water down below?
These things are great moash if your going to have to be away from your plants a little longer then you'd like. It will make sense once you see the entire contraption in action. There is a insert with threads on one end that allows you to put 20oz - 2 liter bottles full of liquid into these things and the liquid is drawn down and out of the bottle as the soil around the plant dries out. They are pretty handy and haven't failed me yet.

Ahhhhh,Kinda like the aqua globes but better.....
Cool
Get your grow on!!!
Exactly!

I have a gallon and a half of RO water that's had a TBS of Peruvian seabird guano soaking in it overnight and maybe a tsp of Epsom salt, I'm going to add about a TBS of liquid seaweed to the mixture and a TBS of Liquid Karma,... here goes nothing...

ps ~ Everything is looking great in there so far. Run off wasn't what I was looking for so the next watering will be much more soaking...

Everything looks great, ever so slight discoloration on the plant closest to the fan on the oldest leaf exposed directly to the breeze... but that's it. Leaves are soaking it in, and the plants have reached a width about equal to the pot size. Growth is very indiga in nature and as I opened the tent this evening, a smell hit me that I haven't smelled in a good while... a good smell indeed... a smell that is just getting in gear.

I think I'm going to give the plants a few more days then usual to grow and then when I top them, I'm going to try and clone the tops... and then flower them beside their respective sisters. How much time for root growth do you guys think will be enough?
