Dropas Neverending Journey, A Few Strains At A Time.

Dropa, dont be fooled by what you see with your eyes. To us it looks like the big fans are shadowing the growth underneath, but to the plant the growth underneath is still getting light. The big leafs allow 70 percent of the light that is hitting them to pass through. So they are using the 30 % to do their job, and the remaining is passing through to the stuff underneath.

IMO if a plant no longer needs a leaf, she will get rid of it on her own.

Thanks bro I needed to hear that shit.

I'm not the type who wants to remove fan leaves, I'm just worrying about me plant. When in fact I probably shouldn't be worrying at all. I've just never seen or grew anything quite like it before. I'm thinking it's not gonna produce much of anything but I seriously hope to be proven wrong. What really bugs me is that any buku I look at, looks nothing like this plant.

Okay enough said, I've went on about this for to long. I'll just let time tell the tale and we all shall see.:peace:

I just got done trimming up all the undergrowth and took clones this morning.

P.E

Buku

Kushage

I went out of my comfort zone today. I normally use a bubble cloner but I went with a humidity dome instead (first timer). I took 3 cuts off each plant for a total of 15 cuts. I dipped them all in Dyna-Gro rooting gel and placed them in rapid rooters and set the dome on a heating pad.

I hope they all make it.

Clones

First 3 vertical rows from the left are P.E. Next row is Kushage. Last row on the right is the Buku.

I hope the ganja gods are watching over my babies.

Peace.

May i suggest trimming some of those fans on the clones, cut the tips of all of them off, helps to slow transpiration, and also sends a signal to the cutting to start growing those roots.

I love Rapid Rooters, and usually get results in 7-10 days.

Sure man I'll try it. I've always seen people do that and I understood the reasoning but I've also read that you should leave them on because the clone will use those leaves for food during the transition.

When using my bubble cloner I've always left them un clipped. After about 7 to 10 days they would turn yellow then dry up then fall off.

But hey I see what you got going on at your pad and I'm always game to try new things.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah when using the bubble cloner, the plant is able to keep up with the amount of transpiration going on through the surface of the fan leaves.
Dont cut the whole thing off, just maybe like half of each blade.

Yes the Buku is nice to look at and it's definitely a unique pheno. I did track down somebody that has grew this particular pheno and he said that mine looks exactly like the one he grew. He said it was a low yielder but a nice smoke.

Thanks Amber it would make a beautiful picture. The puppy is one of Angus's pups he sired. I had to give her up when I moved. She's just turned a year old on the ninth. I wish I still had her but the picture is just a reminder.

I hope you have a good weekend too Ambernooski.
