Put Kush into drowning.
Green pheno isnt looking horrible but not really any better. Notice the necrosis on the upper leaves? It gets worse on the bottom of the plant had a tiny baby bud shrivel up and die :/
Cut some holes and gave it a good flush.

Cant wait to finish this grow.

Hehe snipped a tiny bud off the kush because it was sitting at the water level (tied up some buds to the main stalk as well (also cool pic of twirly purple green pattern on the main stalk ) )

Looks dank.

They're bad ass, especially with leds where you're dealing with a small footprint. Most plastic pots are larger at the top than the bottom which cuts into your footprint. The air pots are perfect cylinders which gives you more space to grow with.

yeah i know what you mea, i started buying reused pots from a local nursery because the pots are straight down, but I DEF want to get some airpots

Nice lookin ho you got there! Her colas are looking mighty fine that progrow kicks some ass.

how much nitrogen are you feeding her. It could be a lockout, but kind of looks like she needs some N. Whenever I feel like I need a reset on the soil I flush with FF sledgehammer.

It's expensive for a bottle but for growers like us it'll last a really long time. It's also great for removing the "nute" taste you can get in your nuggets if you accidentally feed too close to harvest.

Whatever route you go it doesn't matter much at this point, the nuggets look fantasticalicious.

yah although some leaves look ehhh the buds look dank. Ironically im getting some of the tips pointing down almost like a Nitrogen Toxicity claw. I think its from the salt but idk for sure. But that one is the lightest green by far. Either way im close enough to harvest i dont think it matters too much.

Hoss how long does it usually take you to dry and then to cure your buds (to the point you can stop burping the jars) ?

3 weeks after harvest give or take. Some just dry faster or slower than others. I usually chop and trim all fan leaves down to the nugget with a headlamp on making sure to get as much of the leaf off as possible http://www.rei.com/product/799818/black-diamond-gizmo-headlamp (these are just bad ass to have around the house in general).

Hang dry in a dark, low humidity environment (my laundry room) for about a week with a fan circulating the air. Not circulating the air on the hanging buds but enough to give good air exchange. Then I depending on how dry they are at that point I either put nuggets in the jars or put them in a cardboard box (think X-mas sweater box) with a side hole cut out that I can put near a fan to make sure they're dried enough to place in mason jars. I burp a lot for the first week there and if I feel I've put them in the jars too early after leaving them in there for 8 hours or so I'll take them out and put them back in the sweater box.

Mold sucks dick and I want to make sure to error on the side of overdrying vs the white menace. The longest I've ever had to wait using this method was on some tight thick buds that held their moisture very well, took about four weeks. The bud is usually quite smokable after 2 weeks.

Kush (one thats drowning) buds are looking awesome leaves are fubar bad. Like all crusty and burnt and dead. Worried it might spread to the bud. I think ill cut the kush down after this last dark cycle.

Green killing fields still has some leaf issues but its not killing the buds yet. Hopefully it can get through the last two weeks.

More purple KF is by far the fattest actually it just keeps on spitting out new calyx worried it might start hermiing but so far no bananas. Pistils are mature and receding. If im going to drown this one ill probably start tomorrow.

So much salt :/ probably was the salt throwing off my ph/causing nutrient problems. I'll adjust the pots to have drainage/run off next round. After I finish the next grow And use up my soil/nutes I'll probably go with GH hardwater nutes+coco or something similar. Anyone have experience with high ppm water?

Chopped Kush a couple hours ago. Got vaped, turned on some zeppelin and trimmed up my lovely buds. Looks and smells awesome. Curious to see how much i get.

I dont know if i like the drowning method. Even if it makes the buds smooth as silk it seems to be ruining a lot of my leaves. I would prefer to keep my leaves nice and healthy so i can use them for hash, qwiso, or butter.

And since i always vape i think the smoothness is less of a concern vs the lost leaves.
Maybe it has something to do with my situation why my leaves are getting so disgusting but they get bad to the point im apprehensive to use them in extracts

I am drowning the purple kush right now though. I did it so it would stop putting out new calyx and mature what it has. It also has alot less leaves with sugar that will die first.

But i dont know if ill be drowning in the future. Not while i primarily use my vape at least.

Green killing field keeps getting worse slowly Soil is still wet and kinda compacted so i cant water or try to give it anything. Oh well hopefully it just finishes out with all the leaves taking the damage and the buds being fine.

Kush is done drying in jars now. Wrote a smoke report too in the section.

Chopped the small KF today (soil was getting gross and weird)
Dont think ill drown any more the soil just gets too disgusting and kills the leaves too much

Freaking KF which was doing the best is missing out on weight because of this problem.
Leaves all keep dying. Cant figure out if its Salt buildup, nute def, PH lockout, rootbound.

The leaves around the buds are turning yellow now. Should i chop now? i dont want to lose the buds (freaking frosty)

If you're satisfied with the buds chop em. You could probably wait a little longer before whatever is affecting the plant starts to diminish the potency of you final product, but IMO they look close enough to rock (and rock pretty hard).

Yah if the leaves were healthier I would give it another week or so for the pistils to shrink/calyx swell a bit more but I think I'll probably chop tonight. Would be silly to risk losing the buds at this point. Today is flower 71 and the strain is rated for 10-11 weeks by the breeder.

Well its all done. All chopped dried and in Jars now. Lots of bumps in the road and i learned alot. Cant wait until after christmas to start my next grow.

Weight wise i didnt get as much as i hoped for. No scale really but i would say between 1.5 Oz-2 Oz. (feel free to give a guess) Next time im going to veg better and for a bit longer.

Kush actually got a good deal of bud more than i would have thought. Green killing fields will be my favorite though the flavor already is freaking amazing.

Thanks endive, and puffenuff i actually went out and got a scale (one i had was so inaccurate)

Total yield of all three was : ~ 37g Cured
Kinda dissapointed with my harvest weight. I could have easily harvested twice as much if i would have vegged better/a bit longer. Also next time if my leaves are dying ill let it go and see how it does i think the KF would have gotten more swollen if it was given another week, even if the leaves all died.

Tis okay, first time with my current setup and with LEDs. Im taking the holidays off with travel, work, families etc.
When i come back im gonna have plenty of time for a nice long grow. Plan on growing in more space, vegging longer/not drowning the seedlings. Think i should be able to pull easily 2 or 3X as much.

Ill be growing more Killing Fields and some Herijuana next time. Ill probably do another FFOF grow but i might throw in 2 coco/perlite hempy buckets to see if i like it. Watch for it around Jan/Feb

Experience is the best teacher, so long as you learn from your mistakes and don't beat your self up too much over them.

using the 260 as well with some pretty drastic veg growth short after transplant...one week of AN iguana juice and increased Co2 made a big difference! happy growing!
