High all,

Not much to say except my ladies are getting FAT, I knew this would happen they started off so slim and sexy now they are just fat and filled with resin. YUCK!

Currently:

Ambient room temp: 78°Reservoir temp:64°
pH: 5.4
PPM: 275
Nutrients: Advanced Nutrient Micro, Grow, Bloom + Overdrive and CalMag.
Lamp: 430W HPS
Cycle: 12/12 (5:30PM - 5:30AM)

Well here are the pictures, first is going to be my new mother. I chose her out of 8 growing clones.

Here is a wide shot of the forest.

Here are the clones that will be scrogging next.

And last but not least the BUD PORN, sorry for the awful pictures as I forgot to stop the fans when taking these pictures.

Although the pictures do not do them justice they are getting much fatter, take a look at a few pages back, they are roughly the same angles. Questions? Comments?

bud formation looks the same and the way they start filling out @ wks4-6 is identical.. im 6wks tomorrow and noticing nice gains in weight and the budz are nice n firm now..

Yes they are filling out quite nicely and are supposed to be 8 -9 weeks but if all accounts of buds ripening up and fattening in the final weeks I think I may have to wait until week 10 or 11 before chop, but I will have plenty to harvest.

I held back on more trimming as I have the two T5 underneath and the leaves seem to be very healthy, anything below that is browning, crispy, or dry I have removed (but it has been very little). I am not going to trim any more unless it is dead or dying as the small popcorn buds underneath may be good for hash and those fan leaves are still making food.

My next grow will be a SCRoG but if I decide to do another open lamp grow with same genetics I would only veg for 10 - 15 days or 18" MAX and would work much harder on controlling the stretch to have a more even canopy.

The supper cropping I did to the taller plants worked ridiculously well and now those branches are stronger then ever, I cannot even do it again they have grown so thick and strong I would need pliers to get them to pinch.

It looks like I have two different phenotypes in this grow, once I get a proper charger for my wife's camera I will get good pictures of the different bud development. I have some that look like tight buds that have lots of crystals and are very tight with not many hairs (the ones they do have are almost all brown) and bumpy and others that seem looser but tons of hairs and are fat.

Mmmm I can't wait to pull fat Lemon Skunk buds.
All I've ever smoked is little nugs from a buddy who gave me my clone.
Now I'll get to pull those donkey dicks I want.
Quit lurking dubb.

High all,

Here is a quick run down of what has happened in the last week, the ladies started to look pretty bad as my pH went off the charts and my high PPM's finally took it's toll on the plants. The pH and PPM issue was exacerbated due to me topping off the reservoir instead of weekly or biweekly dump and refill, to be honest when I finally pumped out the reservoir I could see my ladies smiling. ;-)

The ladies are at 7 weeks (56 days) flower today and are looking that they will be ready in about two more weeks, I have brought down the PPM to about 1600 and pH steady around 5.8 - 6.0 and they have started to look a lot better.

I will have one more reservoir change with nutrients in the 700 - 900 PPM range and will be topping of with tap water (pH 7.0, 200 PPM) until the very last reservoir change (in about 10 days) which will be only tap water and harvest will most likely start on Saturday September 17, 2011 which will be around 75 days of flower

I have also confirmed my Lemon Skunk mother and she is in her own power grower and is taking off so fast I have had to top her all ready (she is going to be bushy), and my last two clones are being LST'd in preparation for filliing up my SCRoG screen for my next grow I have aptly named Screen of Lemon.

I will definitely get pictures posted this evening.

High all,

They are still growing; getting fatter day by day; white hairs are being replaced by brown hairs, it is so exciting that harvest is just around the corner.

Since my last quick post my ladies have recovered some but show some battle scars, and I have learned some valuable lessons in the process. The cooler weather has brought my reservoir temps down to around 61° steady and the ambient temperature to 72.5°, my PPM are at 1400 and this weekend I will be draining and only using tap water (pH 6.9 - 7.1 & PPM 200) for the week or so flush (I am hoping 10 days)

I also was able to grab a mini microscope and was able to check out my trichromes, this was the most unbelievable thing I have seen, it was just like the image below.

I had many clear and only a few I could find that were cloudy, so I am hoping they can hold off until September 17.

Here is the microscope

The next grow I will be trying my hand at scrogging, here are my two ladies that will be filling the net.

Here is my Momma, she is getting nice and bushy and the T5 is keeping her short.. ok ok I also tried my hand at fimming a few days ago, I will show you the results in a few days.

Here is the jungle (lights on & off)

And finally the bud porn

Comments, suggestions..

The flush has begun, dumped and refilled reservoir with plain old tap water. 2 weeks until chop. Ok since no one has responded I will edit this post and explain fully what I intend on doing, I will become the doctor of death and assist my ladies in their last few breaths.

Chop day will be Monday September 19th, as I have mostly clear but some cloudy trichromes I figure another 14 days should be sufficient; plus I can take a few days that week (if needed) to harvest properly.

I will be using the drowning technique to start the fermentation process, you can read more about this in riddleme's blog post, also in the following thread about flushing and harvesting also started by riddleme.

There will be and has been no nutrients (plain old tap water) since Friday September 2nd and I will continue top up the reservoir until next week Friday September 9th where at that time I will be turning off all air stones, the lights will still be cycling at 12/12 and the fans will be on 24/7.

On Friday the 9th, approximately 10 days from chop I will top off the reservoir and with all air stones off the drowning will begin, the ladies will stay oxygen deprived with 12/12 light schedule for 7 days until Friday September 16th and at that time the lights will turn off one last time for these ladies.

Once the lights go out Friday September 16th they will stay out and the ladies will be chopped on Monday or Tuesday.

I have purchased a hanging rack like the one below so after the chop I will be drying the buds semi trimmed (fan and non sugar leaf) for anywhere from 7 - 15 days (guestimate) then finish trimming and jar for daily burping until the desired moisture content is achieved.

So that is the plan, lets hope it goes off as planned. Questions, comments, suggestions!

Sounds like you have it nailed down pretty good.

Snazzy drying thing. Be sure it's hanging in a dark space when you dry. No light please. Thank you.

Also, I installed my scrog screen and it came out lovely. See my journal for pix.

LORDJIN! I'LL BE THERE!
Haha sorry, stoked:leaf:

I can't wait to see the harvest. This came really fast, I remember the switch.
How did final height end up?

Get us some full body shots, I want to see her skeleton and such.

High all,

Well today part 2 of the assisted death begins; Drowning. All pumps have been shut off and removed from the reservoir, the lamps remain on a 12/12 cycle and fans still run 24/7.

I am quite surprised as it has been seven days with no nutrients and they look better than I would have thought, I am sure the limited oxygen will help the process of assisted suicide along. I have tried to keep the pH and temps the same throughout and managed to finish off quite well. You can see the pH meter is starting to give some suspect readings.:blsmoke:

Here are some of the final pictures, the next ones will look like a lumber yard.

Here is my momma and some of her sisters sun / air bathing. The twins had a rough start but are coming along nicely, these pictures are a few days old and I have done some more LST on the secondary branches. The twins will be hitting the big time after harvest and grow room clean up, they will get the 400W MH lamp until they fill up the screen; SCRoG'n. That is a new thread, nevermind.

Stay tuned, it is almost complete.

How many plants do you have growing in there? Those things have branches everywhere, that's so sick...

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to ru4r34l again.

There are four plants in there, and they dig get out of hand but they are Lemon Skunk and you know how that goes. I am so excited I will be able to begin my SCRoG training soon, I have put so much more design and effort all ready into it that I think I should be able to double the yield I may get.

I had a friend who always use to say:
ru4r34l's friend said:
..the grow is always at risk until it is all jarred up..
I visited your thread and see you have some jarred up and ready for curing, sneak any samples yet? how is it? :blsmoke: How long did you leave your buds to dry in the rack for?

Your plants look awesome, congratulations again for a grow well done. :leaf:
