When you start to flower them their sativa qualities really showed throughout the indica, but I topped mine so maybe that's why they look different?

Used a 400w HPS till week 2 flower,then I got a 600w cos my Digital ballast died.

Nah, they actually seem to dry out just about the same as normal pots now that Im doing a side by side. Trick with the Airpots is to pack the soil in tighter than you would with a normal pot and you have to fill it so only one line of cones is visible above soil line, makes watering much easier.

And just do the standard "rub" the top of the soil before watering to break it up.

Its pretty much impossible to overwater with Airpots unless you're doing it twice a day or something too.

Hey man, thinkin about doing an AK48 grow myself soon...how high (haha) were the plants right before harvesting? I'm just trying to gauge exactly how much vertical space I will need and all.

Do you use a contactor with you're 600w light Harrekin or just a timer?

I bought a Grasslin timer over at Bloom&Grow which I was told would be fine to just plug the ballast straight into the timer and timer into wall outlet. But searching around on the forums a lot of guys are saying a 600w needs a contactor to be safe.

These specs are from the Grasslin website for the timer I bought,

"13 Amp at 240 volts AC resistive
8 Amp at 240 volts AC inductive"

Cheers.
