Easy's Dina Fem Sweet Deep Grapefruit: CFL grow cab

Here we go again. After giving birth to two male bag seeds recently, I now turn to the fem seed. I am only growing one plant now as the holiday season is near upon us and I will be very busy. I assume growing one feminized plant is less maintenance than a few bag seed plants.

I learned a lot about the right environment, feeding, watering, lighting, etc. on the two males. They were very healthy and green when the ball sacks developed so I am encouraged this seed will yield me what I want, some sweet smoke.

Well here are the initial pics to kick this off.

Already in soil and covered with my humidity dome as you can see from the first picture above.

I plan on leaving the lights on 24/7 while the seedling breaks out. Any thoughts on this from the peanut gallery?

Thanks Bonzi... yes, having the same coffee cup, I suspected as much, ha! I am pumped up about this grow. I learn a lot from this one as well, I am sure of it.

Good luck with her Mine is 4 days shy of a month old. I'm planning to top it and flower it on the 28th

You have a Dina Fem Sweet Deep Grapefruit too? I went toy uor link and it looked like you were only growing JH. Maybe I should read all 100 pages.. ha. I'll check it out. thanks for stopping by.

Also, if you do have the same autofem, wont it flower on it's own? Do you need to top auto fems? LST??

Pretty sure it is not an auto, the description shows that it has a photoperiod. I started a thread a while ago to see if anyone had any info

I'm probably going to top and super crop mine as soon as I get settled into my new place.

My thread title has Jack Herer + more and changes about every month, lol, I think I have 12 or 13 different strains going right now

everything looks neat and in order as it did in your last grow. i swear it looks like there is already a plant in that cup, but I am sure there will be by the weekend.

So it's the same? I assume mine is feminized, but I am not certain now... a little confused. DinaFem is the seed maker.... so this could be a male too? Am I wrong to assume this is is feminized?

Looks like super cropping and LST'ing will be in order for this one as it's a tall plant. I don't have much room so I will have to control the height as it grows, just as I did for my bagseeds.

I wish there was a plant already... ha! You are probably correct. The seed cracked in less than 24 hours too. Thanks again GB.

i tried that thing with the signature that I mentioned to you in my sig for your grow and it worked, just a heads up.

I couldn't find much info but as far as I know, if the conditions are right your seed should become a female. I'm planning to flower mine for around 9 weeks or so and start checking the trichs around week 8.

Good thing you found out it is not an auto, you would have been on week 8 wondering why it had no buds Good luck man, I'm definitely along for the ride, any info on this strain would be great because I plan to clone her and try it again

Ok, So it is feminized, that is a good thing. Here are that stats on my future plant:

Sex : Feminized - YEAH!
Type : Mostly indica - Ok
Flowering : Photoperiod - Not an auto, ok, I'll flower in 20 days or so... depends on height.
Genetics : Grapefruit x Blueberry - Nice!
Flowering Time : Medium - See photoperiod
Height : Tall - LST and Supercrop to the rescue for my small cab area.
THC Level : 12% - 19% - very nice
Characteristics : sweet, fruity, slightly acid taste - can't wait.

Just updated the thread I started with some pics if you want to check it out, she is 24 days old right now

Almost everyone on the thread let it go for 9 weeks so that's probably what I'll do too

Great point... this one is a good clone candidate as it's not an auto, but feminized... hmmmmm....

Definitely LST and likely some cloning if I can figure out the best way to do it. Bajafox has a good cloning system so I am hoping he shares it with me. I could get a perpetual Grapefruit plant growing... thoughts of creating a mother box is looming in my head as I predict my wife will kill me.... so we shall see.

It's a very simple set up. If you have a Wal Mart near by you can get it all there for less than $30.

1 - Tote (any size, I use a 3 gallon, 12 site)
1 - air pump
1 - air hose
1 - air stone

Just drill as many sites on the top of the tote that you need to clone, use foam to hold your cuttings and put them under 18/6 or 24/0 lighting. Use Clonex on the clones and you should be good. Some strains don't clone so don't think that because it didn't work that you failed. I have a strain named South African Kwazulu and tried cloning her for months and couldn't do it. Finally had to just flower it

Yea a mother box might be a good idea if you can get away with it

if you can train it right, a pc case may be a good mother/clone box. and your wife may not mind something smaller than what you have now. that is my plan at least. i am working everything out now. gonna pull the CMH from the PC and put it in the flower cab, and put 112 watts of CFL in the PC. hope to be done by december
