Dr. Greenthumb Iranian G13 Medical Grow

The good Dr. Greenthumb has kindly allowed me to journal his Iranian G13 feminized. I'll be starting by following his germination instructions of soaking in water for 4-8 hrs. followed by the paper towel method, etc.

If you haven't had the chance to check out Doc's offerings, I strongly suggest you do. He has some very nice genetics.

I'll keep this regularly updated so everyone can watch through the whole thing. As I go along, I'll tell you what's going on, what's being used, etc.

Just a note...this is not to be confused with the Iranian autoflowering strain. This is not autoflowering.

Just wanted to update this real fast...

I dropped the seeds in water last night and this morning all had sunk to the bottom. I then "wet paper toweled" them and under some heat they went.

So far as of approx. 12 hours later, 4 of the 6 have taproots breaking thru.

Five of the six seeds have cracked and as of tonight at 9 pm, they were showing enough to plant.

The five have been put in a soiless mix(ProMix BX)with added perlite, vermiculite and lime. Still have hopes for the 6th seed to sprout.

I marked the containers 1-5. As of this evening, #3 and #4 have broke through the medium.

I'll go ahead and plant #6 late tonight or possibly in the morning.

The 6th one never made it through the soil, however the other 5 are doing nicely!

Updating the grow....

They've been in slow grow mode under a T5 while I straightened out the rest of the grow. I transplanted using the same medium into 2 1/2 gallon pots on the 27th and after a few days of recovery, started with the Fox Farm nutes. They are now under a 400 watt metal halide.

One's lagging a little but I think she'll be ok....

Gave them a few days to get use to the 400 and then under the 1000 they go.

Day two under the 1000. Gonna flower them soon...

Excellent!

Here they are after 5 more days under the 1000 mh. They are sitting at 18" right now. a little bigger than I wanted but that's ok! I'm going to go ahead and take my cuttings tonight, switch out the bulb and switch over to 12/12

Well here they are at 21 days in 12/12. Out of the 5 total plants, 2 are sitting at 42", 2 are at 40" and the runt is at 30". Although it's small it's packing on weight more than the others. It took on a different look from the get go and has always looked overwatered. I promise you it is not.

All are very healthy and vigorous. This has a 45-55 day flowering time so they will pretty much just pack on weight now. They get fed Fox Farm nutes and mollasses every other day. Water the opposite days.

Going into day 37 of 12/12. Not much longer. Its getting busy in the flower room, but the 5 biggest main colas are the Iranian G13. They are filling in fast.

I also added 600 more watts to the flower room for a total of 1600 watts.

Day 48 of 12/12. They've been in flush for about a week now. One is exhibiting a lot of purple in the leaves. I pulled the runt the other day as it was just taking up valuable room. Getting close now...

I took two of the ladies down 3 days ago. My scope told me they were about 70% milky and 30% clear with just a few amber trichs. Still hanging and very wet but the yield looks like its gonna be good.

I'm going to take the last two when they are nice and ambered up. I like the couchlock myself.
