DWC 1625w Easyryder: 15 plants

Hey guys. Starting up my grow journal today. I've got 2 huge DWC tubs, one 20 gallon and one 35. have 320gph air pump for the smaller one and 1000gph air pump for the larger one. they are in 3.75 inch net pots with hydroton, started in rockwool cubes.

Feel free to post any questions, comments, or exclamations you might have in my journal, I don't really care. I'll answer any questions and respond daily (or try)

Right now the seeds are just starting, im about 3 days deep, they are under my Lumagrow 300w LED fixture ("600w hps equivelant"). I have it really far away so they stretch. My theory is that the more they stretch as seedlings the larger the yeild is off autoflowering plants. They are about 1-3 inches right now. I'll switch them over to hps in about 3 or 4 days.

I'm trying my best to replicate this grow here :

Again, any questions or comments feel free to post here.

Also, I want to add that this is a fully legal medical grow in washinton state, so sorry coppers, no bust here.

Sup greenman..... Holy schmokes impressed buddy, thats sum kit you got there!!!!! i have a few questions for you looking at yr setup,, i see you have mylor/reflective material at the back of yr grow but what abount in front/sides??? is there a board youv taken away to get shots??? Otherwise you are loosing alot of light to open space,
Secondly where is yr intake?? is there frsh air getting in or is the air in the room circulating just by fan????? I guesss if its a medical grow theres no worry bout odur which eliminates asking bout yr exhaust????
Super intrested in this grow consider me subscribed at the front row :bigjoint::bigjoint:
Oddly enough i have another eight in at the mo just gone onto there light cycle,, Im starting up a journal and we should be abount the same progress the whole way through helping each other along the way!!!! As for the nutes i done nowt else than follow the instructions on the back of the bottle :lol: Guess i fluked it????hahahaha

Peace..... Growlow.

P.s everybodys grow on here is legal;-);-);-)

Hey growlow. Thanks a BUNCH for stopping by. I'll be excited to follow along with yours and compare progress. To answer your Q's. No, as of now there is nothing in the front area thats reflecting light, it might be a serious impedament in the grow but i ran out of money so it'll be a while before i can rig something up like an enclosure that you have. secondly. there is a hole in the floor that will have an inline fan pullling air into the room. there will be an inline fan that will be pushing air through the two ventable lights, so i'll get them REALLY close. and ther is an inline fan pushing air out of the room also, through a hole in the wall. plus two oscilating fans. i will work on getting an enclosure built for the next round, but for this round it will certainly be interesting to see how big of a difference that actually makes. i'm excited.

is your new journal just going to be posted in the same thread as your old one or are you going to start a new thread completely?

Yo......Sounds like you got the air supply on lock down,, i believe this is a major contribution  The fact that yr airing/cooltubing yr light will make heaps of difference on overall yield,, the closer the better obviously not untill there strong enuff to handle it... i like to lower mine abount an inch and half each day till i get to a height i am happy with...Beleive me iv been through the tears of lowering the light to much to quick:fire::fire::fire::fire:...
As for surrounding the box/enclosing??? for a cheap method you could buy a sheet of ply rest it against yr desk and line it with mylor it only need to reflect as tall as the light is low,, trust me pal THIS WILL MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!! you are loosing alot of light and with the kit being as good as it is,, this is sumthing i would think abount getting on top of el pronto,, you wouldnt be looking at much money to sort this and you will definatly reap the rewards :lol::lol::lol::bigjoint::leaf:

Iv started a new thread altogether its in my sig....
Adios amigo, speak soon.

thanks a ton for the info. your completely right. there is no sense in having these HID bulbs if I'm not squeezing all the lumens out of them that i can. I 'll be sure to rig up some sort of enclosure ASAP. I really need to get my shit together here. After All, i'm trying to match yours as best as possible. I really like the NFT idea too. You don't have to filll you res all the way up, so how many gallons of water do you have in there?

Just to make sure, you just have the water in the bottom of a tub and then a small water pump thats pumping water up and over the slanted board towards the top, right? no airstones? or do you have some.

Very nice scribed for sure, just helped my buddy set up 10 autos, 5 easy riders and 5 blue himalaya diesel under a 600 watt in two dwc tubs. Hoping to compare results.

Day two or three under the lights today.

Plan to switch to hps in two days or so. along with a transfer into the larger DWC tub as soon as the Hydro-logic Stealth 100 r/o system gets to the grow site on time.

Sup mate.... yr bang on the money with yr description of the NFT kit as for gallons im not sure but i reckon i have abount 20 litres in there,, and right you are theres no air stones in there,,, After doing a bit of conversion it also seems we are running same temp level and ph level, albeit mine not as accurate as yrs but close enough for good comparison :bigjoint::bigjoint:
There looking fit and healthy amigo :fire:
Adios.

It already looks like mine are significantly smaller than the ones from your first journal. The pics that say "End of week 1". are those after a week of life starting from seed? or from a week under the lights?

Ok . It looks like its about day 10 under the lights.

My hps bulb is really screwing with my Ph tester. When the bulb is off it reads fine, but when the bulb is on the Ph will be 25 and the parts per million will be 5550. NO idea why this is happening. Anyone have any guesses on how to fix it.

not a lot of changes have occured in the environment just yet. Still working on keeping my temps down and I just got my RO filter so i'm working on installing that.

My big bucket finally filled up. I added nutes to my liking and they are sitting in thier new home. RO filter took about 4 hours to get 35 gallons. not bad if you ask me. Anyways.

From RO water put in 3tsp FlorvaNova Grow, 1 tsp B'cuzz RootStimulant and 4 drops Ph UP

PPM = 140-150
PH = 5.6
Temp 65

This is the end of day 10, lights just went out.

Day 11. 8:30pm

PPM raised from 160 to almost 400 overnight.

Next time add first dose of nutes in 15 gallon res 5 days in. 1/8th tsp floranova. then raise to 1/4 tsp floranova at 10 days.

am flushing the res now and setting ppms to 100 and p.h at 5.2. (ph always raises up on me cause of my rockwool)

EDIT! PPPms didn't raise that high. they actually stayed the same. but for some reason my PPM tester was reading 600-800 inside the res. but a sample taken in a jar will read 100ppm 6.0 ph.

i think they are drooping due to colder water temps and lack of O2. some of the plants only have 1 little root so far.

Hey buddy i seem to have had probs with drooping/curling but for different reasons than you...Just a quickie you say lack of 02 where is yr intake???drawing in fresh air???

yeah the air pump is drawing in fresh air. No idea why they are still curled up a little bit. I'm guessing just all the stress from moving them around. the root systems are really starting to build up but the plants themselves are growing VERY slowly. we'll see how this turns out. i'm definitly behind growlow on his last journal. oh well.

Scrapped the hydro. Compared to my last easyryder grow it was weeks behind in growth. I put 7 of the plants in soil and the last one I threw in a hydro DWC bucket.

I'm glad I did

All the soil plants literally doubled in growth in one day. the hydro plant has new growth for sure, but not as much as the soil.

either way I have 8 healthy plants in a new and improved garden with 7 more to be sprouted this wed.
