Tryintogrow is at it again!!!

Hi everyone,

I am now my second grow. For starters some supplies that are used:
1000w HPS/MH (eiko bulbs)
3'x5'x7' grow tent
FF Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom
Super Thrive, and Technaflora's Suger Daddy
2 DIY carbon filers (one 4" fan and one 6")
4 gal. Clay pots w/ saucers
Miricale grow soil (1st time it did awesome and had little affect on taste)

The strain I am growing right now is Sour Diesel. It is an autoflowering strain and the largest had clones taken and those are the four (4) smaller ones. The big one is 2 weeks into flowering.

The light Schedule is 24/0 right now to help the smaller ones catch up to the big one. Once I deem them all to be big enough i will switch to 12/12 to conserve electricity. Also i believe most plants need 12/12 for peak efficiency while flowering.

no comments??? UPDATE:2 of the smaller ones have finally reach flowering height. light schedule has been switched to 12/12 so i can be done harvesting by my move out date of 8/1/2009
fingers are crossed the 2 littlest ones can catch up in time.

1000 watt runs pretty hot, so i need both the 4 and the 6" fans to keep it cool..

interested in thehomemade carborn filter more info mate .i just had a fan go down and the blueberry are in there 1st week of grow so let me know how you made it bro.

just wondering how hot exactly? i got a 1000w and when i had my 6" fan my temps would be at like high 90sF...but they look beautiful man.

UPDATE 5/10
Man they do grow up fast. here are the pics. the 4 smallest look like im going to trim to just grow one large cola (lollipoping). but big mama is looking great with about 6-7 little tops and one monster cola
smell isnt too bad, and the difference between the 400w MH and the 1000w HPS is unbelievable. Fun watching this strain grow

Looking good man! We need to do some strain trades.

I just harvested early, one of my plants hermied and pollinated the rest had to chop them so it wasn't full of seeds. But I got a bunch of chron now you should come back down here.

that sucks man....how early were they? like about 2 or 3 weeks by the looks the last time i saw them. and did u actually see seed pods forming? i would of let them finish probably what is a couple seeds. how much did you end up harvesting? and it must be a real head high (trichromes were all clear prob). im trying to come up asap but mikey made it sound like he was just gonna have a bunch of family in for graduation then he was leaving, so i might just have to visit u 2 in chi town. Or are you staying for the summer ?

The fatty of the two babies i have isn't doing that well. I think i may have over watered it a little bit because the branches are drooping and the bottom most leaf has a little hole in it

The other one looks pretty swell.

IN about a week or so im going to put it under the 400 to start the veg process.

I still haven't decided what type of soil im going to mix it in with. If i can find fox farm i am going to use that i think.

I gotta get some nutrients for it toooooo

did u read about how to keep clones alive?? it doesn't sound like ur doing your homework. get a heating mat and a humidity dome. roots like to have the temps around them to be a couple of degrees higher then the ambient air around it. also clones need a very high humidity for rapid root growth (70-80%) some body please correct me if im worng. they wont make it just sitting in those cups and getting watered with that light and ur skill level. they might root but they willtkae for ever o fill that cup and they need to root before u put them under any HID light. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ ALL YOU CAN ON HERE.....IT WILL TEACH U EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

alright now that he is taken care of on too my babies. for the record i plan t post pics twice a week and just give and over update of what is going on. Here are some pics feeding schedule is at full strength (plus some

) Man does that 1000w HPS make a difference over that 400w MH. It blossoms so much nicer, seems to be almost twice as fast. looks to be about 5 weeks left (also the strain is suppose to flower in 8-9 wkkes)

PS there are a couple of my boys place, not alot just enough to give you the idea. gonna be pics one and two. he is my master and i am his apprentice

(and yes those are 1000w ballasts, wonder where the rest of the lights are

)
