COCO Grand Daddy, 600 HPS CO2 Med Grow

What is your understanding about humidity? I'm a little concerned hearing about people having mold in their buds. i'm wondering if i should dehumidify.

well, nice going, keep growing.:peace:

Ive only ever had mould once inside a couple of football sized buds and I think that was due to no fan in the room. Ive never used an aircon or dehumidifier in any of my previous grow rooms.

Just my getto styles 2 cents worth :eyesmoke:

I want to be getto and get football size nugs

My thought on humidity is that its about 18% humidity upstairs and 60% humidity down stairs around me. If you have a second story maybe your situation will be the same. Ive only had one other CFL harvest of 56g on two plants before this though.. I am not all too worried about it at 60% so ill probably use the same set up and hang them on the screen (Dual purpose :hump:) have a fan on low oscillating...

Wannabee are you of the female gender? I think I saw franco sayin lady or so. If so ill make sure not to call you buddy or bro lol

Hey M howd the E Flush method work out for you? Is that the same method you always use? I plan on doing it as well. I want to fill up 5) 5 gallon buckets with like 2 gals distilled water (with no airstones?) and chop the stem and drop it in. Is that the proper method? Can I just use it for the last two days in the dark or should I use it with same lighting schedule and just hack after (2?) days.

This time round I didnt end up having the time (or the energy) to give them the full emergency flush so I just flooded them with straight water for about 4 days before I chopped them. It seems to have done its job but I still like the emergency flush method for a better complete flushing.

I would suggest you use an air stone in each bucket because it keeps the water moving and helps the plant to take up as much water as it can. Some people use this method in darkness for the last 2 days but I prefer to leave them under normal lighting conditions. The drying process usually takes a few extra days since the plant as been drinking a lot of water in its final days so the buds get plenty of darkness during the drying period.

So I thought that this was light bleaching. It would only occur when my lighting was between 20 - 28" (I know really high up) but now I am thinking that it is a Mg deficiency and the when the lighting was lower to the kolas it would appear more. The funny part is is the higher Ive went with the lighting the better everything seems to have been.

oh, and thanks for the response about humidity levels - mine is running very high about 70%, so I'm just wondering if it will affect the budding. I may just have to see how it goes though, cause i need to work on the temps and may need another inline fan and carbon filter for odor control.

70% is high by everyones means no doubt. Just keep a watchfull eye and make sure you have fans going. Im going to get some silica gel kitty litter "mimi" kitty litter (at walmart $5) put it in some kind of a holding device and put a bucket underneath it. Ill report back to you on how it works.

thanx len, nice of you, i'd be interested to hear how that kitty litter goes, and don't hold the female thing against me lol

You can sort of edit out the hps coloring using photoshop but its best to take pics with the lights off. It can be done better than I have but done it but heres a few I did up just quickly in photoshop for ya. Do they look any better?
