This is my first grow indoors in Hawaii...check what im working with

A.C. located in each room running on low 24/7...thats the bummer about indoors Hawaii!!

Ordered 30 seeds from Nirvana...Super Girl, Master Kush, ICE, and White Widow. My seeds took about a month to get here...(Nirvana's packaging was soooo discreet, veryy good for international orders!!)

Nirvana gave me 15 free seeds with my order. Pretty core of them to do that. I am using a Rapid Rooter propagation Tray for germination of my seeds. Above the tray i have a 25watt T-5 Floro. (i forgot to soak the cubes in water that is 5.5 ph) i did soak the cubes before placing the seeds in them but not in ph 5.5 more like 8.5 haha.

This is 9th day after planting seedlings...light was a little too high but they will survive. I am transplanting these into 3 gallon buckets today. Out of the 45 seeds that i planted only 26 of them made it.

Day 4 after transplant...i think the plants may have suffered a little transplant shock so i gave them minimal water to ensure root survival and growth.

10 days after transplant...plants seem to be doing good. Starting nutriets cycle for Veg today.

Well the feminized were alot more expensive it seemed like...If they aren't feminized are they that much more likely to be male? let me know whats up cause i was just about to order more seeds!
 
So i pulled one male today...i didnt kill him just put him outside...hawaii has a outdoor lighting schedule pretty much at 12/12. so i will give him a few weeks and turn him into some dank hash! They are taking off right now, i wont have a camera for about a week so no pics...
 
one tip i got for you is to not germinate in the rapid rooters, they rotted a bunch of my seeds when i tried, that probably what happened to you. instead use a cup of water(fastest) or a wet paper towel,etc... and instead of ordering more seeds why not just clone the strains you got already? it would a LOT CHEAPER. if you are going to only grow from seeds you buy get feminesed, it makes a lot more sense. make sure your males are pulled early and put far away fom your females, away from your house, that pollen will travel. just a few suggestions other than that everythings lookin good. what island you on?

Thank you for the tips i will definately use the paper towel method for my next grow. i will only need to germ one more set of seeds and then i am only going to be cloning. I ordered more seeds because i wanted to get a variety of plants to use as mothers. im living on the big island
 
Looking great! I have been thinking about moving out to the islands again... my mom just told me they just opened up a hydro store there (big island)... now how am i going to get my elite clones down there from the mainland?

what temps are you running and how is the humidity? does the ac take care of it well? how much is that costing? that was my main concern... grow it up bra!
 
shoots! They have two hydro stores on the island...one in kona and the other is in Hilo. Nice store but kinda pricey. haha ya i dont know how u would get those clones over her. My power situation has been kinda out of control for a while now. i am buying a carbon filter today so i can finally vent out of my room, so that will lower the temp.

Right now in the flower room i am running my A/C on Medium during the day-temps are about 80, when i turn the light off at night i turn the A/C on low-temps drop to about 75 ...

I was so concerned about making my room airtight and secure that i overlooked somethign very important. with the A/c on 24/7 my room gets pressurized and this forces air out of every single crack or space it can find. so that means all that work trying to keep my room sealed was for nothing. The A/c also takes alot of the Humidity out of the air, i dont have a meter to check it either srry. My power bill last month was about $400 and i think it will increase this month a tiny bit.

6:45AM About to wake the ladies ...gotta freshen up!
 
Just pulled 2 Master Kush plants out of my room cause they were males...chopped em and now they are hanging in my closet. bummer:wall:

 
Got a carbon Filter and Ona Gel yesterday cause my room is starting to stink....i also got 5 gallon pots for all my plants. i know ur not supposed to transplant during flowering but i think they are going to need the extra room. so today i will transplant them. Hopefully it all goes smooth!
