Thanks mistaphuck

CertifiedArborist It measures 44" across and stands 30" high

Nice one ripz thanks for stopping by.

sniggit the yield was 38.4 Oz = 1.8 grams per watt the coli is a massive piece of kit and not easy to get good yields out of you might try something smaller.

Wow I was thinking it was bigger then that. I have a few more questions for you if its cool since I'm trying to do something like this.

1st what size pvc did you use?
2nd is it 44" from end to end or is that the open space in the middle 44"?
3rd how much space are you giving in the middle of the pvc pipes?
and the last is what size res did you use?

Thanks for posting this up! I had this in mind but didnt really know where to start but after seeing yours it looks pretty easy and REALLY GOOD!!! Thanks again

Heath-You are the vert king dude, seriously.
Is it the coliesium itself that is hard to use or the shape/dimensions?
I was interested in building a wooden version of the Pi rack or pi wall
Home - Pi-Technics At last - a proven, fully tested growing system!
which just looks like a spin off the same idea with a different twist.
Do you think a large wood "coli" style set up would work or better to have several smaller ones.Do you have any tips/advice?
Is 1o lbs possible in a 16 x 11 room using diy vert?
Thanks n praise Hbr

This might be a dumb question but how are you dealing with smell? are both vertical systems in one big sealed room? What are your thoughts on an enclosed variation of your mini banger?

Either way you da man! Impressive is a vast understatement.

No its not a dumb question, the systems are in a room with a carbon filter, a enclosed system would work as there used to be a sealed system for sale called the quick kettle or something like that, the main problem with totally enclosed systems is insufficient air flow between the plants. get that sorted and it would work.

great job, very inspirational! what do you find is the best spacing for a vert system like this? between the plants and between the rails? i imagine you arent veging for too long, more of a sea of green.

Well suTraGrow, I'm glad you did. Reminded me of a question I have had in the back of my mind.

Heath,

I grow colosseum style with three tiers of coco filled hempy style buckets, drippers for irrigation, and two vertically hung lamps in the center. Simple and it works well, though I would like to increase growth rate and have been considering building one of your marvels. I'm wondering how you feel about this system now. Is it still in use or have you moved on to something better for high yield SOG style grows. Also, how easy is the system to operate and maintain?

Does anyone have any idea how Heath got away with having the MH bulb so close to the plants? I would have thought they would have all been scorched/burnt. Thanks
