!!!!!Take Note i have no freaking clue what im doing, so any help would be great!!!!

okay here we go:: I started this grow as some what of a joke between me and a couple buddies to show them what a pain in the ass it is!!! But i found out it really isn't a pain in the ass at all for me, its something i kinda like doing!! any-who here we go!!

its a closet grow: and you will see in the first pics that i had to make it real discrete!!! To cold to grow upstairs seein as how i live in the north. so i had to grow in my mans room in the basement!!!

Oh yeah growing space 48"t x 43"w x 20"d

Nov 1st: started germinating
Nov 5th: planted 4 seeds
Nov 18th: current stage

Nutes: just a little b'cuzzz grow at quarter strength while plants are youngins!!

Lights: 4 cfls at 100 watts a piece at 6500k spec
** I know i need to get more lights stat, but im Broke**

light cycle: 24 hours of light durin first 2 weeks now i have them on 18 hours of light

So im tired of typing and im sure u dont care about wat i typed so im just gonna go burn one :joint:

looks good so far i dont know much either but i would get rid of the foil and more lights, but you know that already...

yeah im looking for mylar but cant seem to find it locally and im a fan of paying cash if u know what i mean!!!

You can use white paint instead of reflective coverings like mylar,also get a fan blowing gently on those plants asap,you want the fan to blow the leaves & stalks just hard enough to keep them moving gently,by doing this the movement strenghtens the entire plant.

Another tip is to stay as far away from fertilizers as possible until the plants are one month old,when you do fertilize them use 1/4 strength fertilizer only so as not to burn them.

Until you get more lights your pretty well screwed,the less light the plants get the more they stretch to reach the light creating tall spindely plants,when they get stretched they produce much less bud due to less nodes that will grow buds.

I know you said you are broke & cant afford lights but i say poppy cock,if ya got money for a sack of weed to burn you can drop a $10 spot on a few more lights,it's a matter of putting priorities in order,you'll get what you put into the grow & nothing more,if you put shit into it you'll get shit in return & vise versa.

Get some lights asap.

word!!! if u look at pic 4 i think it is i have a fan mounted on the wall and one fan as an exhaust so i have the fans covered!! i use the nutes now at 1/4 strength or less!! and yeah friday is comin so improvements are on there way !!! Thanx for all feed back posi or neg please keep helping this is my first attempt!!

As Pan head said, it look like you need more lights. And to prevent more stretching them lower the lights as close as you can up to an inch away from the plant tops. If need be add some soil around the plants that have stretched before they fall over and possibly die. As mentioned stay away from nutes. Seedling dont need anything but air, water, and light and of course some love. If you hell bent on feeding them though I suggest using only organics. Blood meal and worm castings are great, still wait until there 2 weeks+ old. But gives you something to work with if you really wanna feed them

I love CFL growing and will pop in every now and then.

awesome thanx for the help!!! new lights are on there way i want to do the whole thin with cfl's due to cost but will splurge for better lights if they tremendously increase the yeild!!!

Also anyone sit and stare at their plants for extended periods of time!?!?!?! like an hour + ?? rofl i feel like a tool but damn i love tending to my babies!!

i also have questions about watering?? i do not water very often!!! i seem to have the idea that almost starving them of water is better then drowning them any thoughts??

yea, i watched a seedling pop out of the cube yesterday, it was insane.. i'm blind now, but it was worth it. ;p

Well i have always found it better to actually water frequent in small amounts at a time. But many people who are new like to do it your way as to prevent a mishap. My general rule for beginners is to water and allow 5-10% run-off, once every other day.

Want mylar.local and cheap spend twenty bux go to dollar general pr family dollar amd buy a few of them 3 dollar windshield cpvers that keep the heat out of your car.. They are made of mylar just buy a few and cut em up and hang em up.. Works better than foil
