aerogarden light setting

should i keep the setting to 24/0 with th pump continuously running or should i put it on herb which is 17/7 with the pump not running continuously. does weed need a dark period in the vegetative stage?

You should use the Tomatoe setting .. that is setup for 18 hrs on 6 hrs off ..


And yes dark time is good

in the manual it says tomatoes/peppers light cycle is 16 hours lights are on and 8 hours lights are off

should i just be using my wall timer instead of the ag timer?

ok i was off a little... I would use the wall timer when your putting them into flower .. Cause the aerogarden does not have a 12/12 setting .. Vegg the plants till about 4-5 nodes high then switch to 12/12 and I would add an airstone and small pump to the res also .. good luck

I used a 5'' one then saw that if you get the smaller ones and a splitter you can have two instead of one ,

thats why you get a timer and connect them to the lights, then you have total control of them, then you just use the setting for how long you want the pump on
