What size room for 400 watt?

I have a 400 watt light and i am trying to figure out what size of grow tent I should be looking to get?

2x4x5' works perfectly for me, with room to spare.

3x3' is the de-facto standard for a 400w.

Thank you. Not trying to go big but 3-4 plants or more just depends on what info I find out. Just trying to as much info before I begin.

4x4 max is what I have mine in...I do 6 plants veg if ur flowering no more then 4 plants really no.bigger then 3 gal pots

Grow shorties. Don't waste time Or space growing bushes that are only gonna make popcorn size buds. I flower mine 2 days out of the clone box. Shorter plants finish a little faster and without all the fan leaves and side branches there's more light for them. Result IMO bigger buds. I've been doing shorties last 3 runs. Short plants, big buds.

i use a 400w for vegging in a 4'x4'. i have flowered using 400w but i think 600w would have produced better results. i certainly wouldnt go above that size.

I use a 400w in a 20"x36"x60" tent, IMO I would use a 600w in anything bigger.

4x4 is actually just a little too large for a 400 watt, so basically anything less than 4x4 or 16 square feet.
600 watt is ideal for 4x4 or larger.
3x3 is ideal for 400 watt.

Great results compared to what?
I am pretty sure if you added more light to that room you would have even better results.

my veg tent is a 3x3 with a 400 I can only veg 3 in it though with 4 it gets too cramped

You'll be satisfied with the 400watt in a 3x3 tent OP..

I will mirror grorite's sentiment, 4 in that area would be tight. Personally I would only bud 1 or 2 plants under a 400watt.
