Ok so the hairs on the cola of my plant are almost all turning brown i would say 85% while the lower buds dont look nearly as mature. This is a pretty small closet grow about 6 weeks into flower (white widow x bubble gum) any advice? I thought of cutting the cola and start drying that so i could lower the lights onto the smaller buds? i also think i should start using only water and no nutes, i just dont want to start this too early and kill any type of yield possible lol , thanks

Mr. Chronic..

your idea is sound and is done by many growers.. harvest the top first and let the lower branches get direct LIGHT for a couple days..... in the future you should consider the following..

1. flower earlier (shorter plants)
2. cut those branches off and make clones.. during the vegetative stage
3. get a larger light (more lumens) for deeper penetration (thats what your mom said)
4. add side lighting..

lol on #3.

that late in flowering you should'nt be ferting anyway, too much nutrients can make the bud taste like chloraphile. usually plants are underfed, especially nitrogen for the last 2-3 weeks so the leaves yellow and the bud tastes smoother. good luck
