you gotta watch out with them wood burners i still have the scars from my first set nicely done i like this piece the most. This was done on a natural piece of wood of our property, was wood burned and then pastel crayons were used for colour. [/B]
Amazing To Say The Least!!!
Yes I am very critical of this work but it is when I frist started painting with water colours and unlike acrylics they are not in the least bit for giving.the needlepoint is very impressive Thta needlepoint took me about 4 years to complete and the hardest part was stretching it property to make the circle work before making the frame.(as is the rest of your work). even the early watercolors show great promise and they have excellent lines and composition! the brushwork lacks the confidence of your later work but that is to be expected - very nice indeed... well done!
Yes but I really didn't give it a fair change. I started with pastels and water colours first.Hey lacy those all look pretty good girl. Good job with them! Im sure your parents were happy with those and Ill bet that you wont ever go to their house and find that they took a frame off one of your works for something else.Yes my parents were very happy with them. They are not the type of people to get all mushy and sentimental but they are still hanging on their walls so I suppose that they like them.
Have you ever tried using acrylic paints?
Cutesy smileys as usual twisty and thanks daydrops.preeeetttttttttyyyy. thanks for sharing.
Oh I have scars everywhere so I'm not worried about that.you gotta watch out with them wood burners i still have the scars from my first set nicely done i like this piece the most.
I think you should give them an honest effort Miss Lacy. They are slightly less forgiving in the fact that if you do something that dosent look like you intended then you can paint over it relatively easily.Yes but I really didn't give it a fair change. Oh thank you and yes you are right. I probably chose one of the hardest mediums to work with.I think you should give them an honest effort Miss Lacy. I just think you have great talent and acrylic paints could possibly pull the most out of it into your paintings.
Not only is talent and practice important But medium used is just as important.
Yes acrylics are very forgiving. I have to agree because I did use them in school once or twice but didn't get into it too much. Oh thank you and yes you are right. I probably chose one of the hardest mediums to work with.
I can get quite creative so perhaps I will try something new. Thanks for the idea.
