Blowing Oil with Bubble Hash?

lately ive been getting trim material that is pretty old and not yielding well..
i ran a whole lb of it yesterday, fan leaves/stems picked out..
took like 18 or 19 cans of butane, only yielded lil over 1/2 oz of oil..

basically i think the trim is from last years harvest and is too old??
im using way too much butane for the yield..

now i am thinking of pulling out my bubble bags,
turning most of the rest of the trim into bubble hash first..
then leave enough trim to mix a tube or two with 50% trim 50% hash or something
and maybe run 2 full cans or more until clear in stead of 1 or just over..

has anyone else experimented with adding bubble hash to their runs and how has the yield/outcome been?

i will try to take some pics when i do mine.. going to start on the bubble hash

I do hear of people running kief to spray. I believe there is a thread where someone's start weight was 7g of kief and came out to 2.1 of BHO.

Yes, it is common to mix kif and herb in a column, so that the kif doesn't plug the filter.

You can also thermos soak the kif for a higher yield.

I gave a bit of advice, running bubble.

Honestly, I would run everything 90u and up.

Keep all the bubble that's 45u-73u.
Make some ice water shatter with that, mmmm,mmmm good.

yes that was me. I do it all the time.

last batch was 7g of kief, and 7g of weed. 14g total and the yield was 2.5g or something. almost 30% yield I think.

ive got another batch in the process. ive got 15g of kief this time and am going to mix it with an oz of bud and run that to see the yield.

its the exact same taste and potency... just waxed up very quick
