HARVESTING is killing me

Simple solution , next time grow strains with a low leaf/calyx ratio and trim systematically and efficiently . I wont keep a plant that takes more than a few hours to trim a pound besides the rare haze I keep .

Check out Nugbucket's 'Mainlining' thread and train all your plants in veg that way.

It will make your trim time much shorter because you'll only have 8x, 16x, 32x+ tops per plant to trim, and they're all giant colas exactly the same size.
i saw his thread lol i hate him (joke) he made me look like chit
even i have pics to buds long as my arm
i will figure a way to post them here its all in my phone

ya man i agree with whoever said it earlier, if you got 8-10 zips per plant, you cant smoke these guys up and pay em in smoke?
if you got more then 1 plant u have lbs (according to ur estimation) and if you only have one plant HOW could you possibly get sick
of clipping your precious baby you had for a couple months and prepare it for liftoff bruh?

But ya where you @ man i can trim with the best of em and i would take $15/hr and many blunts while we cut as payment lol

Happy trimming/smoking sir

took the words right out of my mouth.
as of lately, i've been growing some quality varieties/phenols and come to find that even though they may not have the best yield, they definitely don't have the high leaf to calyx ratio that i've run into with most phenols.

Do you hang the plant first without trimming or do you trim the buds on the stems (which are of a manageable length around 12-18")? I can trim about one indoor plant in about 1.5 hours when leaving on the stem which ended up between 6-7 oz. Of course I let those hang for 4-6 days then it takes about 15 minutes to trim the buds off the stems.

Suck it up and pay for the work. Greed gets you nowhere fast! If they asked for 12$ then you give it to them. I just paid someone 20 and it was well worth it!

Guys... my dick is so massive that I have to sew my own underwear, it takes me about 8 hours for each pair as I'm too cheap to pay someone to make them for me. It's killing me! Any advice please!

you need to fill it up by uniformed buds all the same size and still hurt most of them
so instead losing like 33% its cheaper to hire guys by 30 dollars per hour :-P
So for the record you don't fill the machine I linked with anything. It is a hand trimming machine, you hold the buds and hand trim each of them. The only thing that is a machine is the spinning cutter which is shielded from your hands, but doesn't hurt to touch in the first place( I tried it). I personally am very against trimming machines, and this one really got my attention. You don't loose anything, so your statement tells me you didn't even check out my link, but rather dismissed it without educating yourself. Seems to be the same problem your having with your trimming. You didn't educate yourself on how much to pay your trimmers, and then got greedy so now you have no trimmers. Life is a big balancing game. If you wanna grow pounds you gotta rim pounds or pay someone else too. Outdoor growers especially have been paying trimmers since the beginning of time since the harvests are often FAR to big to trim ones self.

photo.jpgThis is what I usually get from my grow. I always grow big buds and thats why it takes me forever to trim.

Looks like a beautiful bud man, nice bud to leaf ratio, that shouldn't be taking you long to trim. Buds like that are exactly what I grow in my SOG, and thats part of the reason I do it. I like trimming buds like that not a ton of random buds on a bush(I've dont that too over the years).

Wtf man, i feel your pain.... 24 plants for me an they scrogged. The big buds are the easy ones. Takes me and 1 person 2 hrs a plant. Problem for me is work and such leaves me like 2.5hrs a day to chop an thats not accepteable to leave my room filled up past chop date since im perpetual.

i take a full node down at a time an chop each branch off that node then hang an move to Nect one i picked. Its about a zip per node. I top at 8 nodes...

needless to say i dont have 1 person accept my buddy who knows about its location so no help for trimming allowed. auto Trimmer coming next. Found awesome one for 7200 lol ! If only i was dumb enough to just get it over with an get that one.

Thats a sweet looking grow man, love the scrogged bushes! If your looking at trimmers I gotta suggest looking at the one I linked on the first page. I DO NOT WORK FOR THEM but I tried the machine at the cannabis cup all be it only for a minute, it seemed to offer total precision which is my big thing, and still be much faster and cleaner then hand trimming. All the small material gets collected for you via a vacuum and a couple levels of collection. Just saying worth a look for alot less then 7200.

i checked youtube and all the trimmers are BS none is good any time you put your buds inside a machine it means you are going to get shakes so far i never saw a trimmer worth buying except you have one you suggesting
btw i bought one with 700 and it did not trim one bud :-(
not true. I had an electric trim pro that saved me at least 12 hours.

I good trimmer can trim a 1lb in 10-12 hours. A really good trimmer can do up to 1.5lbs in 12 hours . A professional trimmer in California is 15-20$ a hour or 200$ per pound.
