How many autos

Inside my dr60 250w should I go with 3 or 4 autos in 6.5l pots or go for just one huge plant that's known to produce like moby dick auto inside a larger pot? I know less sometimes means more but autos don't get a long time to veg. That said I have got over 3oz from a critical jack

Depends on the diameter of the pots and trays.. The floor of your DR60 is 23.5 inches x 23.5 inches. Measure the diameter of your trays in inches, divide 23.5 by the size of your trays, round down to the nearest whole number, and then multiple that number by 2.

What size trays are you using?

Im about to get a dr90 and im planning on doing 4 different plants, I thought about 3 autos and a photoperiod just so I can get the 3 autos done and when they are ill only have the photoperiod in the box by itself. Only thing you have to worry about is space. 2ft by 2ft should easily fit 4 3gallon pots but 5 would be a stretch.

Did you factor in how many lumenss each plant will get from your "250w" light? You didnt mention what 250w light it is? MH hps etc.... How many plants grew with the jack when it got the 3 oz (answer honestly), When you say "less is more" If your jack was alone, it was able to receive all the lumens that the light could give out. The more plants the less lumens each plant will get. IMO ideally you want at least 8k lumens per plant.

If I had that small tent with only a 250w in it. I'd just go for a photoperiod strain a really good one (like DNA genetics chocolope kush, massive producer) And just grow one huge.. Yeah Auto's are quicker and can be smaller, but then 1 plant can prob do as much as 4 little ones if grown properly..

Edit: Yes i know some ppl will prob get excited by what i said and try to challenge me or w/e and thats fine. :D We all have our beliefs in growing, some things work for some people and not for others. Its the spice of life live it and love it :)

Depends if he uses the 3 gallon tall boys or the 3 gallon low profile pots (low profile are wider)

Autos already produce low yields, you will severely reduce this further by using such small pots.

Depending on the strain, and of course the equipment/knowledge/experience of the grower. Like Jtank tested the AutoXtreme (currently growing now) from dutch passion and pulled 11oz dry. Their Autoo mazar is supposed to produce quite a bit too. But then again a new grower on average will get maybe an Oz off a photo period plant till they gain some experience to where an experienced grower can pull at least 4oz+ off the same strain.

Yea i'm just throwing out guesses.... It basically a question that can't be answered definitively without knowning what size pots and trays he plans on using.
