They are trying to get all beat coppers to carry tasers but all the bleeding heart civil liberty groups keep sueing the government n shit so it keeps getting help up with court cases/appeals etc.
And believe it or not if the police see you have knives/swords etc then generally they will just sit there an do nothing until armed response or dog unit arrives lol

They are not allowed to engage when firearms are on scene , the beat cops are just there for show, if they do engage and get hurt they will not be insured
this happened in a shit hole area of SE london that is why it took 20 mins for so19 co19 to get there
if it had happened in a more respectable area of london the co19 armed police would of most likely of been there more quickly
it is very common to see people fighting in the street in woolwichm mostly drunks, it has a town center and lots of pubs so lots of drunks about , or you may see drunk people passed out on the floor just laying there people walk by and step over them
