What's up with Purple?

I like your style fdd2blk, and I love your grows. And I dig what you saying on the purps raidercelticfan. If it ain't broke don't fix it. And there is hella bomb green weed in the bay, its just purps is the in thang. It does taste nice and aromatic, and expands the fuck outta the lungs, and does have a pleasantly strong high. And I crave it from time to time, and when I go I hit the med shop and get grapes. It's all love baby, grow on and grow strong. Chuuuuurch!!!

This is the second time i have tried Purple. Both times were diff strains and were not grown by me. Anyways it taste like dirt. For those of you who don't know what dirt taste like just go out in your backyard and get a handful I mean the high is nice and comforting but i was expecting a fruity taste.

Anyone ever have this prob?

u dun know what real PURP is dude...purp in oakland is the best shit ever!!!! smoke it everyday and love the high!!!!!!! its some of the best weed out there!!!! very very potent!!!!! soo no problem wit purp at all....I got grapes check out my GROW JOURNAL and c for urself wats good wit tha PURP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i've been right in the middle of it all for years now. PURPLE SUCKS!!!! it's a gimmick and a fad. there are a thousand strains that are better.

At last I find someone who feels the way I do towards purple kush, purple haze, purple this and purple that. Some guys try to promote the purple color so the grow very fluffy and harvest early so it looks very purple and smells floral yet fluffy nature runs counter to the dense bud and thus the quality is vastly differant. With that being said, I have smoked some nice tight purple bud and was disapointed. Real purple is rare and I'd venture to guess most of the purple on the street is poorly grown and living on legend of years gone by - the horse and buggy was really nice until the automobile came along.

dak1b i just took a look at your grow journal looks good, out of all your plants did your urkel stay small and yield low? mine does but i like it so i allways grow a couple for me, i just ordered some purple wreck seeds from the doc urkel/train wreck they said its a high yield urkel, well see, i just had my best luck ever with 1 grape ape plant i found a seed in a 8th i bought from the club got lucky it was a female, shes a short monster every branch is thick as fuck i just lightly toped her and put her in the veg room on 24 i hope shell reveg if she does im keepin her 4EVER, shell be my first real mother

fdd21k i just read your reply, ive never grew in soil rw only, i was told that grown in soil makes your tree taste like dirt, mabee thats why your purp has that taste, in rw i flush and flush for 2 weeks ive never had a dirt taste, im also in nor cal 707 here just got off 80 springs rd

i can walk into 5 different clubs today and walk out with 20 different strains of purple. some might have a sweet, candy, grape flavor but in the end it leaves dirt and flowers all over the palate. purple is stupid. i walk out when i see it on the boards.

I think we can all agree that its simply a novelty.

How are you curing? Take a small piece and try the water curing method listed in the grow faq... I have never tried it, but i plan to next week

I would love to jump on the bandwagon, but I don't and never have felt strongly either way about purple. I am sure that if I had enough of it I would get sick of it (as in anything of that nature), but until then it is just another strain of cannabis.

To say "i don't like purple and its just a fad" is just as ignorant as saying "i only smoke purps"! Either way you limiting yourself and missing out on some great variates that cannabis has to offer. Open your horizons and smoke the best no matter what the color. There are some great purps, and some great greens, and there are some crappy versions of both. I have personally had some very unique flavor experiences with Purps. And its all cali born baby.

in atlanta alot of black dealers give the name "purp" or purple to any good stain they get , if it looks and smells good it's that purp, lol it drives me nuts

ha ha you dont need to be dealing with the people that cant be honest about what they sell.
If they say they got that purp and they pull something out that dont look like purp, keep walking/searching on.
I always had the problem of people shouting @ me that they "had this fire" and it ended up looking like and being shitty weed.

then you got folks that are out to make a true killing @ what they do too like the guy I used to buy from.
He had a blue strain that was some really crystally shit and had a great strong kush flavor. He said it was master kush but since then Ive not seen a blue strain of master kush.....He always sold it for $200 an ounce.
dont allow yourself to be pushed over by some punk with a tough attitude.
