Did I ruin my Colas by topping too late?

So I have some 12/12 plants and they have been growing for 2 damn months they are pretty big and bushy.... a few weeks ago I topped them...now I am starting to think I ruined the top flower because the rest of the plant is trying to flower while the tops are trying to grow instead.....

On top of that the rest of the plants are now flowering very slowly. Are you supposed to top 12/12 plants super early and does it stunt flowering badly if they are toppped in pre flowering?

wow, things have went really pear shaped here. Always top my plants then give them a week to recover , then 12/12 . something has gone very wrong. did you top then straight in to 12/12. How long between the top and the light change. Fantastic looking plants but whats happened to the colas.

Nah they are 12/12 from seed, that is why I am wondering if they got stunted bad by topping

No it should be ok you just wont get large colas, but prob same weight. Trim the lower 1/3 of the plant as it has a lot of 'suckers'.

I did lollipop 1 of them, I'll chop the lower parts of the others and see if it speeds up the newer growth

Those are your 12 from seed in MG, right?
Looking good, but I think you're right, you lopped off your main colas.

not these are not the MG plants, the MG plants are still youngins under normal 16/8

So here is what they ended up doing since their colas got lopped off,



They went crazy and just never stopped branching and creating new bud sites ..... Like this picture is of one of the main stalks and it has like 6+ main bud sites instead of 1 cola
