No, not addicted. I stopped with the gold tops on my fourth trip (this was in the early eighties). The one before that was nearly as bad as the last one, so i figured, fuck that, too much to pay for the short time it felt good.
However, them little bits of blotting paper would have been my undoing if I'd hung around where I lived. Aahhh Lysergic Acid...
...see, I still think that way. But I *have* been able to say no though (about ten years ago I think), but only because I had a choice of weed or trips and decided that the trips would be good for a few hours (they claimed 12 hours), but the weed would last a week.

Well, I am not so sure about that.
Marijuana never gets mad at you, or starts ragging, or asks you why you came home at 3 in the morning smelling like different marijuana.
I mean, given pussy or marijuana - 9 times out of 10 sure I would probably choose pussy. But it is what the pussy is attached to that makes weed the winner in the long run.

lol i actually just read something about this the other day and how its not a gateway drug, but people began to see it that way when it became harder to get pot in certain areas. this is what i was reading the other day:
There is no scientific evidence for the theory that marijuana is a "gateway" drug. The cannabis-using cultures in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America show no propensity for other drugs. The gateway theory took hold in the sixties, when marijuana became the leading new recreational drug. It was refuted by events in the eighties, when cocaine abuse exploded at the same time marijuana use declined. As we have seen, there is evidence that cannabis may substitute for alcohol and other "hard" drugs. A recent survey by Dr. Patricia Morgan of the University of California at Berekeley found that a significant number of pot smokers and dealers switched to methamphetamine "ice" when Hawaii's marijuana eradication program created a shortage of pot. Dr. Morgan noted a similar phenomenon in California, where cocaine use soared in the wake of the CAMP helicopter eradication campaign.The one way in which marijuana does lead to other drugs is through its illegality: persons who deal in marijuana are likely to deal in other illicit drugs as well.

I dont think its a gateway drug. theres lots of studies that have shown almost consistently that its about 17% of marijuana users that actually go on to use harder drugs or try them. Im sure that number could be a little skewed, but needless to say isnt it personal decision when you're putting a drug into your body? so i think it would be safe to say that there cant be any one drug thats the gateway to the ENTIRE drug world. Well, it's apparent in many threads that there are a lot of people here for whom the weed is their priority. Weed will not comfort me, it will not advise me, it will not care for me when I'm sick, or old and infirm. It is a thing that I do to myself, and I don't "need" it the way I need, say, food, or comfort or love. We all make our own beds to one degree or another, don't we?

Well, if it really came down to it ... I *would* choose family over weed. I say I'd choose it over pussy assuming that that's the only thing the girl had that interested me. If someone I deeply loved said it's either weed or them -- the answer would, of course, be THEM.
Fortunately, I don't think I'll ever have to make that choice.

How so? I make an observation, which you certainly can't deny, and then go on to state my own position. I make no judgments on anyone else, even though I happen to disagree with the mindset that would put an object over something like family, health, or loved ones. I know people who must use <insert your drug of choice here> no matter the consequences, no matter the harm it brings not only to themselves (which I think anyone has a right to, you can kill yourself any way you see fit, as long as you don't cost ME), but to the ones they ostensibly love. I fail completely to see how that qualifies as pretentious. Of course, maybe it's just me. Or... maybe your definition of pretentious is different from mine.

i used to smoke meth chroniclly all 4 years of high school, then i graduated, and stopped completely its been like 4 years clean, but i smoke bud like a mofo.
