Yeah you can dry & sift but it works a lot better and easier with frozen trim or using dry ice.
Might be hard to get all the trichomes off without too much plant material sipping through.
You should use a low micron material (90-120 microns).
Stop shaking before the kief goes green.
thanks guys! can i dry em first then freeze them then do the sifting? how long should it be in the freezer? i cant freeze them for a long time as my fridge turns off automatically
dry ice seems to be a rare find nowadays.. i used to play with those when i was a kid.. now i cant find any lol
yeah just dry the trim first, then put in freezer for a day or two till its cold and crispy all the way through, then fill a screened trichrome bag, the big or medium size i think mine is 125 and 75, and shake the hell outta the bag over a clean glass or smooth table. you will get a white/green dusting that can be piled up with a credit card to collect for dry kief ,or be pressed for brick like kief, or heated and then pressed for a dark brown hash which is my personal fav!!

If I were you I would dry it out if you're going to sift it. And just freeze it overnight (won't have to worry about mold if it's dry) and then sift. Saves you some money on CO2 and the product will just as good.
