Raped? do you not get any services or insurance for your money? Anyone who "feels raped" takes all that this country offers for granted. Live in a somalia where you very well might BE raped... but you don't have to pay income tax.[/QUOTE
Ahh, I'm a vet, served and sacrificed. My money that I earned is absconded from me without my consent under threat of force. I'm not referring to a share of my profits mind you.
I and my choosing should be the only ones that benefit from my, earned money. Btw- I pay plenty of Capitol gains taxes from my profit. Don't have a beef with that!
Used my time to grow a shit pot of veggies, caught a slew of fish, harvested big game. How much is due the man? Not a fucking iota! Let that time be used to earn legal fiat tender and now it's not all mine? Same time used for both. Kiss my ass.
they didnt let you keep your share of the PROFITS???

Not my best choice of words. Ranting off my phone earlier today. First off the kiss my ass comment is not a dis to anyone personally. It's a "bite me", I'm disgusted statement. No disrespect intended!

Keeping my share of the profits... OK, investment of capitol that grew. Yeah, I risked loss and gained. Didn't "earn" it if you will. IMO taxing profitable earnings is legit. I'm ok with it.

To me- taxing my wage I traded my time to earn is obscene. Coincidence that 16th amendment was ratified and a mere 10 months later the federal reserve act was signed into law? Interest is owed on fed created and loaned fiat money. Citizens are taxed from their wages. No longer is government funded on corporate taxes alone. Now we all on the treadmill! The best part- inflation. The hidden most vicious tax of all. Last decades dollars aint worth shit in todays market.
Taxes/inflation/fiat currency. Bite me!

Growing, toking, sci-fi. Cool way to chill. Disconnect from the borg awhile. No hi-jack meant. Talking out loud about taxes. Imagine herb is legal in all forms and we become small businesses growing, selling, paying a reasonable tax on our profit. Or... it never becomes legal and is grown and sold and folks keep all the profit for shouldering the risk. Barter with it and cloak, stay under the radar. IDK

I thought I would throw this in here since it's about income tax. Mitt Romney hasn't paid income taxes since 1999. He hasn't had a job since then. He is taxed on his investments. Which most are kept in the Cayman Islands and his Swiss bank account.

Which he has reported on his tax returns and paid taxes accordingly.

You make it sound like he committed some capital crime...

Somalia? Et tu Canndo?

The term "services" is misapplied in the context you use. A "service" is something willingly contracted for, without any "or else" involved. An imposition would be the politest term you could possibly use to describe what you mean when you say service.

There is really only one metric to freedom, the freedom to choose. If a person is not free to engage or disengage consensually. They are not free.

Welcome.

You should feel raped. In both instances, rape and taxation you are threatened with force for noncompliance. In neither instance is your consent or non consent a consideration of the aggressor.
so people are forced to sign W4s?

nope, they aren't. it's a completely voluntary decision to sign a W4.

Don't voluntarily file your tax returns and find out how voluntary it is.
thanks for pointing out your own false equivalence.

there is a legal penalty for not filing.

there is no legal penalty for not signing a W4.

but you try to make them equivalent. that's me pointing out where your argument fails.
