GSC vs MO's GSC
View attachment 2342698
What do you think MO?
Transplanted at the same time, same medium (coco), same room environment.

Honestly I don't think it's too cool to sell untested cuts labeled GSC, especially for $30ea.
The only way to verify a cut 100% is to flower it out, not just by comparing leaf structure and stem smell in veg or whatever you did. There are a lot of strains that look just like GSC in veg, especially OG's and Bubba's.
To the untrained eye yes but after thirty years of growing and 7 years cloning commercially you can tell by observation much in the way a wine connoisseur can identify a particular wine by taste and smell without looking at the label.

I will tell you what’s cool is that we paid $2500 for a dozen sick Platinum GSC from the Rosbud Wellness Center and $1250 for 10 Thin Mint GSC from SpeedyWeedy mothered them out and took all the risk that they might have been fakes (which they are not) and we now have the Thin Mint GSC priced at $18 per clone at Oakland Organics in Oakland CA.

We took all the risks so our customers didn’t have to and made this cut available at an affordable price without the gouging so show some love. We mentioned where we got them from so if they had turned out fake it’s on the source and not us but this argument is moot because we don’t produce unverified product period, end of story.

So do you also steal other breeders' bud pictures and print them on your products?
(Especially that "Grand Fire OG Kush" picture, LOL)
Not saying these aren't legit beans or anything, just very misleading to members of the community paying top dollar for your seeds. Just take real pictures of the buds, or hire a good graphic designer.
Oh you mean like the dried Platinum GSC photos you posted earlier.

Do you really think $40 for six seeds is top dollar? Our price point forced other seed vendors to come off that $100 dollar a pack scenario.

It’s interesting the way you find fault in an extremely successful organization like ours while we receive accolades from everyone else.

My thin mints are looking realllllly tasty right now. The purple is setting in and they are really starting to stink. I really want them to finish! The buds (other than the color) have looked like they are about a week away from being finished now for the last 2.5 weeks but haven't gotten any closer. Every day I go out there and hope they're done. Maybe tomorrow!
Your grow sounds like its mirroring mine. I’m not leaving the grow unattended until there done! So juicy and fragrant right now.

The pic I posted was dried flowers from the cut I have. Real GS Cookies. 100% NOT "Platinum Cookies" as you said. Nice try.
:wall:
Not going to argue with this clone vendor anymore. You'll know whats real once you grow it out. :hump:

I am going to have to agree with sins on this one. MO as confident as you are that you have real deal GSC from studying stems, leaf, etc. It all comes down to the finish product.

Exactly and this is my point we used several methods including working with other vendors and vending departments at several dispensaries to identify these strains and our collective analysis has proven correct. MO, DHN & SCM worked together through Harborside vending liaisons to make these strains happen for patients. Now they’re available for far less than the outrageous prices we paid to acquire them.

Now if our analysis was wrong then you would have an argument but everything is true and correct. Not one complaint from anybody about legitimacy for any of us vendors that have this strain.

Can we agree that it’s just a difference of opinion that’s best debated in a formal setting?

So you do have the finish product, and may I see it? Right now with out the pictures I feel you may not have the phoeno that makes it truly TMC. Also if anyone has the finish product of Nuwave I would greatly appreciate it.

How many weeks in were you when they started to show color. My GSC is on day 13 (ish) of flower. Also, how far in are you?
I am really looking forward to seeing how mine finishes. Hopefully it turns out to be really good. (And really GSC!)

tbh I have no idea how many weeks in I am. My OD growing is far from anything that resembles precision. I just kind of mix up some soil at the beginning of the year, top dress every once in a while based on what the plants look like they need, and hope for the best. I don't keep the plants on a feeding schedule or anything so I don't know how many weeks in they are.

You can't really mistake platinum GSC when it's deep into flowering. The smell is pretty distinctive.

Mine root in 10 days or less, in rockwool cubes. 5.5ph.
Soak the cubes in R.O. water with a dose of .5ml/gal H&G's Roots Excelurator.
I don't even have to use a rooting hormone; but if I do, it's Clonex rooting gel.
ive always rooted in straight coco and although im not a big cloner, i havent had a failed clone yet....but my gsc clones and cherry pies arent lookin happy lol

Thin mints. I want them to finish but they've looked just like this for a few weeks. The calyxes started to swell, then just stopped. Luckily the plants are in pretty good shape so I don't think I'm going to have to pull early.

Cannabissearch has it wrong.....It's not Cherry Kush. It's Cherry Pie.

Cherry Pie (Durban Poison X GDP) x OG Kush. = Real GSC <-----My pics.

Durban Poison X Cherry Kush X OG Kush. = Fortune Cookies.

GSC x Fire OG. = Animal Cookies.

Does this help? :)
lol. no. I know the genetics. But still, every one claims theirs is the legit one and everyone else's is fake. When I see the buds, I can't tell if it's crossed with gdp, cherry kush, or fire OG.
According to the video @ around 3:30, the breeder says there's no cherry pie in gsc. Says cherry pie is more like a sister to gsc.

According to the video gsc = F1Durbin x "a specific OG Kush" and cherry pie = F1Durbin x GDP

Some history on the GSC if you skip through a couple minutes:

*Berner is not the breeder btw.
