i have bin scrolling the net trying to find what is average hydro yields per plant i am coming to the conclusion 2 - 4 oz of course veg time makes a diff here check out vid i find it hard for someone to say what this guy got i have bin around the block to know it takes allot of buds to make even 6 0z dried and i can;t see the guys plants being able to even hold it 672 wet grams to make 6 0z

4 trays rotated every two weeks.

12 cuts per tray, one gallon containers , averaging nearly 1 dry zip per rooted clone.
yield of course is strain dependent... so my actual average is 10 zips.

a normal soil grow is anywhere from 30 to 50 days veg... plus flower time.
lets go with 30 days veg + 8 weeks flower = 12 weeks total time spent on a soil grow.

in that ^ time i've harvested about 6o dry zips from 2000w.
ebb & flow & hydroton.

how would you find any average on the net to use for comparison?
every grow & space & method is different.

buy the time you trim'd your harvest i've already flipped 50 zips.

and soil/coco isnt for everybody given location, space, storage capacity, etc.

hydro on a rotation = lots of shit to do all the time.

All i am trying to get at with the majority of the problems you see in hydro, i am sure if you spend the money and get a set up it can run without daily ( automatic ph adjuster;s nutrient adjustment sensors etc top op's etc , in soil you you can take off for a week an not worry about anything you can't do that with hydro plants would be dead in one week unattended, right ???????? in soil set your timers exhaust fans humdiifers and water see you in 7 days going to the beach and personally just can't justify being tied up to being constantly messing around with plants, chasing defiencies etc you mentiion growing in hydro would smoke soil grows lets look at the whole picture biggest pot i seen most use is 5 gallon pots, flood and drain 4 x 8 systems, that again is dealing with more plants, pretty much flowering at clone stage or week later which ever i find in hydro you can;t really get huge plants medium can't support it without being tied up to ceiling etc or scrog style you mention you consider your self a pro @ hydro can i ask what is average dry yield you get per plant ?? i am achieving 1180 dry grams per 1000 watts and thats 2 plants under it giving me 2 1/4 pounds + 45 grams left over. I am hoping this grow to reach 2 1/2 pounds + per 2 plants

A simple reliable hydro setup can be built very cheap and can support huge plants. Hydro grows with 1 1/2 lbs per plant under a 600w are not uncommon. Automatic ph adjusters are a luxury not normally required most nutes worth there salt are self buffering. I can easily leave my recirc system for a week without a top up or anything so no it doesn't tie you down if you dint want it to. I actually prefer my smaller systems though which I do work with daily because I enjoy the time spent with my plants.but if I do need to go away I just hookup my large res and pump and It will be fine for at least a week maybe more.It seems to me you are bagging hydro without giving it much of a chance. Perhaps you shouldn't be so quick to judge something without even trying it. As someone who has tried both I find hydro easier and more productive. I think most people that have tried both would agree.

first off i find it hard for what your saying 1.5 pounds especially off a 600 vegging little clones with no time in veg to get that not average per plant like you try to make it from what i am finding 2 - 6 oz is more like it, with out any complications???? you may say how would i know this well from growing out door as well as indoor with unlimited resources i realize were on the net so BS is BS right would love to see 1.5 pound hydro 1 plant

so really 10 zips 12 plants rotated ?? ok how do you think of this concept flowering time is flowering time so only thing you get is flowering a clone 12 of them to get 10 zips anyways check out my present journal 5 plant 6 pound harvest Cheers i will be making a new journal shortly with 5- 5 x 10 scrog tables 25 plant 25 + pound harvest 10 k will get two of them done by spring 50 pounds is 800 zips

hahaha lol so what your suggesting a person cant veg in hydro that because we grow hydro we simply must take clones and put them to flower straight awaay lol wake up to yourself. go look at virtually any large single plant scrog and you will see large yields.
